Under the guise of protecting Lily and her children, Victor may try to take over Cane's holdings. Of course, he'll present it as a favor. But if anyone dares suggest a Newman had anything to do with Damian's death, Victor's patience will snap. Expect him to come down hard—especially on Chance. A murder, a motive, and a mystery While Lily digs into what she believes is evidence and Victor schemes for power, the real question remains: who actually killed Damian? Cane looks suspicious, but could there be someone else lurking in the background? And what if this murder is just one part of a bigger game? Lily suspects Cane, Victor plays protector, but the truth behind Damian's death might surprise everyone watching Genoa City closely.

Everyone has their theories. But Lily (Christel Khalil) actually thinks she has evidence. Which points to Cane (Billy Flynn). Now, considering how Lily feels about Cane in general at the moment, she's ready to accuse him of anything. Being the Zodiac Killer. Kidnapping the Lindbergh Baby. Being so vain that Carly Simon wrote a song about it…. But is he really the one who stabbed Damian? We know he didn't. Because we saw that he was there when the black-clad assailant aimed and threw. So what evidence could Lily possibly have? Unless, of course, Cane hired the killer… and was the one responsible for delivering Damian to the time and place, not to mention drugging him so he wouldn't be able to get away. Victor just knows that Jack (Peter Bergman) and Billy (Jason Thompson) will do something insensitive and underhanded, like try to claim them for themselves. Cole's Tragic Death Was the Absolute Best Thing for Victoria on Young and the Restless
Happily ever after rarely plays out well on soaps. Once a couple unites and settles into domestic bliss, they face the dreaded doldrums. Their days of fun, front-burner action slowly disappear. That's why Cole's tragic death was the absolute best thing for Victoria on The Young and the Restless. Pre-Cole (J. Eddie Peck), Victoria (Amelia Heinle) was vibrant, spirited, and spunky. She was a shark in the boardroom, and a sexpot in the bedroom. Remember her sizzling affair with Nate (Sean Dominic)? Her cutthroat tactics to pull off a corporate coup? Victoria was a powerhouse and a force to be reckoned with in every area of her life; the daughter who made the great Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) proud. READ THIS: We can't stop watching these Y&R pets. But after getting back together with Cole (J. Eddie Peck), all of the above fell by the wayside. While the Victoria and Cole reunion was sweet and made good use of history–the pair discovered the daughter they believed had died was alive, reconciled after decades apart, and ultimately began planning a new life together–once their happiness materialized, there was nothing for them to do. Victoria, once a prominent player in Genoa City, was suddenly stagnant. She became nothing more than a sounding board for Claire (Hayley Erin), Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), Nick (Joshua Morrow) and the rest of the Newman family. Actress Amelia Heinle, who's played the fiery Victoria since 2005, deserved better. She's a consummate actress. She's won two Daytime Emmy awards, Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 2014 and 2015, and has proven herself as a premier leading lady. Let's not forget that her onscreen pairing with the late Billy Miller (ex-Billy) produced one of the show's most popular and engaging couples ever. Now that Victoria is finally free of Cole, and after she goes through the normal mourning period, she'll have the chance to regroup and move forward. Perhaps the writers will toss her back into the business world full throttle, now that Victor has his hands full warding off Cane (Billy Flynn), who's plotting to acquire Newman Enterprises, Chancellor Industries, and Jabot. Teaming Victoria with her father and Adam (Mark Grossman) would create a formidable three-headed monster to go toe-to-toe with Cane. Once Victoria gets her business groove back, then the show can steer her into a new romance. She has plenty of old lovers to choose from, like Nate and Billy (Jason Thompson), or she could move forward in a totally different direction with someone new.

Young and the Restless Spoilers July 14: Can Amanda Save Phyllis…and the Rest?
The Young and the Restless spoilers for Monday, July 14, make viewers wonder how the good people of Genoa City ever survived without Amanda there to keep them from doing stupid things. Amanda (Mishael Morgan) rightfully left Genoa City when she realized everyone who lived there wasn't worth her time. We're not sure if Cane (Billy Flynn) is, either, but at least he respects her intelligence. He put her in charge of watching his kidnap victims. (Yes, we said it. What else do you call it when you have people trapped on your property and are not letting them leave? No matter how nice the accommodations, they're still being held against their will.) And Amanda is doing her best to keep everything under control. While she continues making deals. READ THIS: How Cole's dying is good for Victoria. Amanda's best friend in France is Phyllis (Michelle Stafford). Ironically, she's the one Amanda can control the least. Phyllis is determined to make Cane take over Chancellor Industries and install her to run it. And there is nothing Amanda can do about it. Which is why Phyllis keeps doing dumb things. And why is she now in danger? Cane thinks someone is about to try and kill him. Will Phyllis helpfully get there first? Got a wild soap prediction?
