5-star QB Jared Curtis sends four word message after committing to Georgia

5-star QB Jared Curtis sends four word message after committing to Georgia Georgia Bulldogs five-star quarterback commitment Jared Curtis is a game-changer for the Dawgs' 2026 recruiting class. Curtis is the second ranked recruit in the country and the top ranked quarterback. He's helping Georgia recruit other elite prospects around the country like five-star offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell, who is the No. 1 recruit in the nation. Curtis' commitment, who was previously committed to Georgia before decommitting from the Dawgs in late 2024, drew celebrations across Bulldog nation. He is the latest five-star quarterback to commit to Georgia and could be the Bulldogs' next national championship quarterback. After his commitment to Georgia, Curtis provided a short, but sweet message for Bulldog fans. "Let's go! Go Dawgs!!!" said Curtis via social media. What's more interesting is the post he responded to. Curtis shared his post alongside a post that emphasizes that Georgia has a chance to land the nation's No. 1 recruiting class. Curtis is a major building block for coach Kirby Smart and Georgia's 2026 recruiting class. However, Georgia still has only eight total commitments and the No. 17 recruiting class in the nation. Georgia is going to look to add anywhere from 15-25 more commitments in the 2026 recruiting cycle. Some of Georgia's top recruiting targets include several five-stars like offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell, tight end Mark Bowman, linebacker Tyler Atkinson and running back Derrek Cooper. We're entering a key time in recruiting with official visit season coming up. The Bulldogs appear primed to land another elite recruiting class.

Stetson Bennett's brother enters transfer portal after multiple years at Georgia

Stetson Bennett's brother enters transfer portal after multiple years at Georgia Georgia Bulldogs redshirt junior wide receiver Luke Bennett is entering the NCAA transfer portal. Bennett, who is the brother of two-time national championship quarterback Stetson Bennett, started his career as a walk-on at Georgia like his brother. Bennett has receiver minimal playing time during his career at Georgia. He hauled in one catch for two yards in Georgia's dominant Orange Bowl win over Florida State in 2023. Bennett appeared in the Georgia versus Tennessee Tech game in 2024, but did not record any statistics. The 5-foot-11, 175-pound wide receiver is likely entering the transfer portal to look for more playing time. Bennett is from Blackshear, Georgia, and played high school football for Pierce County High School. At Pierce County, Bennett won a 3A state championship. Bennett is the fifth Georgia player to enter the transfer portal this spring. He joins running back Branson Robinson, defensive back Chris Peal, wide receiver Nitro Tuggle and offensive lineman Marques Easley. Bennett's brother, Stetson Bennett, is now a back-up quarterback with the Los Angeles Rams. Bennett was selected in the fourth-round of the 2023 NFL draft. Head coach Kirby Smart and Georgia football have added three players via the transfer portal this offseason. Georgia signed Illinois running back Josh McCray, Miami defensive lineman Josh Horton and Army edge rusher Elo Modozie.
