5-star QB Jared Curtis sends four word message after committing to Georgia
Georgia Bulldogs five-star quarterback commitment Jared Curtis is a game-changer for the Dawgs' 2026 recruiting class. Curtis is the second ranked recruit in the country and the top ranked quarterback. He's helping Georgia recruit other elite prospects around the country like five-star offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell, who is the No. 1 recruit in the nation.
Curtis' commitment, who was previously committed to Georgia before decommitting from the Dawgs in late 2024, drew celebrations across Bulldog nation. He is the latest five-star quarterback to commit to Georgia and could be the Bulldogs' next national championship quarterback.
After his commitment to Georgia, Curtis provided a short, but sweet message for Bulldog fans.
"Let's go! Go Dawgs!!!" said Curtis via social media. What's more interesting is the post he responded to. Curtis shared his post alongside a post that emphasizes that Georgia has a chance to land the nation's No. 1 recruiting class.
Curtis is a major building block for coach Kirby Smart and Georgia's 2026 recruiting class. However, Georgia still has only eight total commitments and the No. 17 recruiting class in the nation. Georgia is going to look to add anywhere from 15-25 more commitments in the 2026 recruiting cycle.
Some of Georgia's top recruiting targets include several five-stars like offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell, tight end Mark Bowman, linebacker Tyler Atkinson and running back Derrek Cooper.
We're entering a key time in recruiting with official visit season coming up. The Bulldogs appear primed to land another elite recruiting class.

Seven Georgia Bulldogs named as preseason All-Americans

Seven Georgia Bulldogs named as preseason All-Americans The Georgia Bulldogs are expected to have several standout players this year. Sportswriter Phil Steele named seven Georgia players to his 2025 Preseason All-American teams, with each of the four teams featuring at least one Bulldog. Punter Brett Thorson and cornerback Daylen Everette made the first team. Linebacker CJ Allen and long snapper Beau Gardner earned spots on the second team. The third team included safety KJ Bolden and defensive tackle Christen Miller and kicker Peyton Woodring made the fourth team. Thorson averaged 47.6 yards per punt, ranking seventh in the country. As a result, he was a finalist for the Ray Guy Award. Everette underwent a sports hernia surgery that sidelined him for the spring game, but he is expected to be fully healthy by the time the season starts. In 2024, he led all Georgia Bulldogs with three interceptions. Four players on Georgia's defense were selected, further highlighting the confidence media outlets like Steele and ESPN Greg McElroy have in Georgia's defense and coach Kirby Smart. Additionally, three UGA specialists made the team. The Dawgs should have an excellent special teams unit again in 2025. However, no players from Georgia's offense made any of the All-America teams. Georgia is transitioning from Carson Beck to either redshirt junior Gunner Stockton or redshirt freshman Ryan Puglisi at quarterback, while the Georgia running game aims to improve after finishing second to last in the SEC in rushing yards per game last season.
