AP Church hosts successful market to raise funds
The Afrikaans Protestant (AP) Church thanks its supporters for the success of its market day, which was hosted on Saturday, July 26.
Event organiser, Gert Opperman, said funds raised at the event will be used to ensure the continued survival of the church, as well as to secure the services of a new pastor to lead the congregation.
'We are a small but happy congregation, and lucky to have enjoyed the support that we did at our market,' said Opperman. 'All the vendors I spoke to said they were happy with their sales for the day. Everything went smoothly.'
Opperman went on to thank Erna de Jager at The Barn for providing the venue as well as the Newcastle community for its support.
