2 injured as Delhi govt's new DEVI bus rams bicycle in Loni

Two people got injured on Friday morning after a Delhi government bus rammed their bicycle in Loni area, police said, adding that it was the government's recently launched Devi (Delhi Electric Vehicle Interconnector) bus. 'The electric bus involved in the accident was speeding and driven rashly. It later hit two people travelling on a bicycle. One of the injured, Kailash Singh, 52, lost a leg while Ghanshyam did not sustain serious injuries. They both were rushed to a hospital in Delhi, and are under treatment,' Ajay Kumar Singh, ACP of Ankur Vihar Circle, said. 'Once the families file a complaint, we will register an FIR. The electric bus from Delhi was seized soon after the incident,' the ACP added. Harendra Malik, SHO of Loni Border police station said the driver has been identified. They will detain him once a complaint is filed. The incident triggered a political spat between the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) with the former blaming the BJP government for the incident, claiming the buses are being handed over to the drivers without any training. 'A tragic accident happened at Loni border – who is responsible? Delhi government's Devi electric bus crushed several people. This accident is not just an accident, it is the result of the gross negligence of the BJP government running in Delhi. The bus is handed over to the driver without training. Drivers are being recruited through private companies with no standards of experience and safety. Why is an important public service like DTC being given on contract? Why are drivers not being properly trained? Why is every week some innocent person losing his life on the road? This is not just an accident, this is a picture of the failure of Rekha Gupta's government,' AAP MLA Sanjeev Jha said in a post on X. Delhi BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor hit out at the AAP, saying that the 'so-called untrained drivers have been working since the time of the AAP government.' When asked about the incident, a transport department official said necessary actions will be taken as per relevant laws after a complaint is filed.

After 10 years, HC frees main jailed for rape of minor

Bhopal/Jabalpur: A division bench of MP high court has acquitted a man who spent 10 years in jail after being convicted of raping a 12-year-old girl, citing a lack of conclusive evidence and inconsistencies in the prosecution's case. Rinku alias Ghanshyam, in his revision petition filed in 2015 following conviction by a POCSO court, said the FIR about rape was lodged 10 days after the alleged incident, there was no plausible ground for delay in reporting the incident to police. Besides, he was held guilty and sentenced without a DNA report confirming rape with the minor girl. It was alleged in the FIR that he dragged the girl to a corner while she was playing the residence of her friend and raped her and when she shouted for help, mother of the girl's friend came there and the accused ran away. The division bench of justices Atul Sreedharan and Anuradha Shukla, in their order, said the delay in lodging FIR has been explained by the family of the girl stating that they were scared but the girl's mother visited the house of the convict after the incident to express her anger. "If she were scared, she would not have not done it. The convict didn't threaten the girl at the time of the alleged incident or thereafter. Mother of the girl's friend had seen the incident and a lot of people in the village knew about it. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Trading CFD dengan Teknologi dan Kecepatan Lebih Baik IC Markets Mendaftar Undo There are no injury marks on the body of the girl in the medical report submitted in the court," the order stated. The girl's father, in his testimony, admitted that he had no information about the incident of rape with his daughter. Mother of the girl and the convict have had a fight over filling water from the public tap. The convict had hit the woman and thrown her utensil brought to fetch water. The girl's mother has also admitted that the Sarpanch of the village asked her to lodge an FIR against the accused. An FSL report confirmed presence of sperm in the undergarment of the girl, but police didn't proceed to get DNA profiling done to substantiate the charge of rape on the convict. Besides, delay in lodging FIR about a crime raises doubts over credibility of the charge. In the absence of credible evidence, the decision of the trial court was set aside and the convict was acquitted, the judges said in the ruling. Pushpa Impossible: Pushpa solidifies her resolve to study law; to face new challenges

Pushpa Impossible is set to enter a powerful and transformative phase as the show's spirited protagonist, Pushpa (played by Karuna Pandey), embarks on a new journey that promises to redefine her life. After overcoming numerous personal and societal challenges, Pushpa reaches a crucial crossroads where she chooses to study law—a decision driven by both heartbreak and hope. In the upcoming episodes, Pushpa's attempt to help retired peon Ghanshyam (Mukul Srivastava) initially misfires, leading to the unexpected arrests of Dilip (Jayesh More) and Bapodara (Jayesh Bharbhaya). While her efforts eventually secure Ghanshyam's long-denied pension, Pushpa finds herself accused by Kadambari (Brinda Trivedi), who feels threatened by Pushpa's closeness with Jugal (Anshul Trivedi) and secretly begins targeting Chirag (Darshan Gurjar). Amid the turmoil, the arrival of Professor Rajveer Shastri (Gaurav Chopra) adds a compelling new dimension. His cold assertion that 'law is for the powerful' shakes Pushpa's belief in justice. Their ideological clash comes to a head during a college debate where Pushpa's street-smart wisdom is dismissed—only for a student's unexpected support to reveal a crack in Rajveer's stern persona. Later, while part of a mock jury, Pushpa realizes the legal case mirrors Rajveer's hidden emotional scars. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 2025년 가장 멋진 RPG 게임을 지금 정복하세요 레이드 섀도우 레전드 Undo Inspired by Ghanshyam's perseverance and touched by Rajveer's vulnerability, Pushpa decides to pursue law—signaling the start of a bold new chapter. Karuna Pandey reflected on the development, saying, 'This has been one of the most powerful and emotional moments in Pushpa's journey so far. Her decision to study law isn't just a personal milestone—it's a message to every woman out there who thinks it's too late to start over. Pushpa has always led with her heart, her instinct, and her resilience, but now she's choosing to empower herself with knowledge and legal understanding. As an actor, portraying this shift has been incredibly fulfilling. I truly believe that whether you're 25 or 50, it's never too late for a fresh start. Pushpa's story is proof of that.'
