‘Sustainable devpt must place all species in central role'
Lucknow: While human development has achieved much, it has largely kept only humans at the centre; now, sustainable development should also place other species in a central role.
This was highlighted by Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak on Sunday while speaking at the special screening of a short film 'Ghuspaithiya Kaun', written by senior journalist Sudhir Mishra and directed by Dheeraj Bhatnagar.
"This earth belongs to all living beings. We must ensure food and water for animals according to their population," he said, adding that there is a need for a fresh dialogue on this subject.
Social Welfare Minister Asim Arun remarked that although humans are part of the planet, they have disrupted its balance. "Covid gave us a big lesson — humans need to learn to live within limits," he said.
