Parma set to sack manager Fabio Pecchia
Serie A side Parma are now set to sack manager Fabio Pecchia and the decision has already been made. Gianluca di Marzio has reported today that Parma's decision to sack Pecchia has already been communicated to the manager and the decision was made in the last few days. They have lost their last four games in the Serie A and this has left them at 18th in the table after a rather promising start to the campaign. They found themselves in the top four early on in the season but things have fallen apart since then, despite a host of promising players. They have won only four games in the season so far and have conceded as many as 45 goals in the campaign, which is the second worst defensive tally in the division. They have scored 30 goals though, which is the joint second-highest goalscoring tally in the bottom half of the division. Kaustubh Pandey I GIFN

Tottenham very close to signing Milan's Fikayo Tomori
Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur are now very close to signing Fikayo Tomori on a permanent basis. Earlier today, it was reported that Spurs are ahead of Aston Villa in the race for the English centre-back and it now seems that the move is all but done. Gianluca di Marzio has reported that Tottenham have pretty much beaten Aston Villa in the chase and are closing in on a permanent move for the centre-back. The move is at an advanced stage and talks are very close to concluding between the two clubs. They will pay around €30 million for the centre-back, who has failed to impress in the last couple of seasons. Juventus had earlier backed away in their move for him after his performance against them two weeks ago but Tomori now seems set to head back to the Premier League. He would add depth at the back but his quality remains to be seen. Kaustubh Pandey I GIFN
