Russell Wilson skips family time with Ciara for sons-only brunch before getting booed at WWE SummerSlam
Russell Wilson shares sons-only brunch selfie before facing brutal boos at WWE SummerSlam (Getty Images and via X) Russell Wilson might be gearing up for a high-stakes NFL season, but the New York Giants quarterback made time for a boys-only day out that took a surprising turn. On his rare Sunday off from training camp, Wilson ditched the family routine with wife Ciara and their four children for a more intimate outing—just him and his sons, Future and Win. What began as a heartwarming brunch ended under the spotlight at WWE SummerSlam, where cheers turned to unexpected boos. Russell Wilson leaves Ciara and daughters behind for sons-only day The 36-year-old Wilson has been all about balance this offseason. Between adapting to life in New York and preparing for his new chapter with the Giants, he's kept his personal life close—frequently sharing affectionate moments with Ciara and their kids. The couple recently celebrated their ninth wedding anniversary, exchanged loving tributes, and even turned heads with matching denim looks during a Knicks game. From Easter photo shoots to brand promotions with all four children—Future Zahir, Sienna Princess, Win Harrison, and baby Amora—Wilson and Ciara have often presented a united front. But last Sunday was a rare exception. 'Sunday Brunch with my Boyz!' Wilson captioned a smiling selfie of himself, Future, and Win. Ciara chimed in sweetly with, 'The best! My Boyz 💙', giving the dad-son bonding moment her full support. While the rest of the family was likely enjoying a quieter day, Wilson took the adventure a step further. The trio made their way to MetLife Stadium—where the quarterback will play this fall—to attend night two of WWE 's SummerSlam. Booed by hometown fans, Russell Wilson still smiles in selfie during boys-only WWE SummerSlam outing Wilson documented the whole experience, posting from his front-row seat and calling it, 'Boyz Nite Out'. The NFL star even received a custom Giants-themed wrestling belt, a nod to his new home team. However, the night took a slightly sour turn when the camera panned to him on the jumbotron. Instead of applause, a wave of boos echoed through the crowd. It was an unexpected reaction for a Super Bowl-winning quarterback making his New York debut on such a public stage. But ever the professional, Wilson didn't flinch. He smiled through the chilly reception, perhaps chalking it up to a stadium filled with more Jets supporters than Giants faithful. With the season fast approaching, Wilson's Sunday made one thing clear: whether he's bonding with his sons or braving unexpected reactions from a passionate crowd, he's ready for whatever New York throws his way. Giants' Mike Yastrzemski Turns Heads With On-Field Change
The San Francisco Giants (24-17) are currently off to their finest start since 2021, which was also the most recent campaign wherein this franchise won the National League West. One can point to many aspects, but part of San Francisco's recent resurgence can be attributed to dynamic play from right fielder Mike Yastrzemski. Entering Monday, his 2025 numbers reflect career-bests in on-base percentage (.374) and K-rate (19.7%). In 36 games, he's added four stolen bases and five OF assists. For the fifth consecutive year, Yastrzemski is participating in "Mustache May"—and it's for a good cause. Per Maria Guardado of Yaz and a few of his San Francisco teammates are increasing the follicle activity above their upper lips. Of the Giants joining in on the mustachioed fun this May are Hayden Birdsong, Matt Chapman, Jordan Hicks, Christian Koss, Lamonte Wade, Jr., Logan Webb and Justin Han (Jung Hoo Lee's interpreter). Yastrzemski even ranks each player's facial hair, showing the most respect to Hicks and Wade. Advertisement Along with sporting a rugged mouthbrow, Yaz is promoting awareness around mental health by selling official "Mustache May" T-shirts. According to Guardado, "All proceeds from the Giants-themed T-shirts will benefit the Heart and Armor Foundation, which aims to protect the health of veterans and provide resources to those struggling with PTSD and other issues." This month, the Bay Area's lone MLB franchise has gone 5-5. Still, they've maintained a +12 run differential throughout that same span, typically indicating positive results to come. The Giants are in action Monday night at Oracle Park with a divisional affair versus the Arizona Diamondbacks. Projected starters are Merrill Kelly and Justin Verlander; first pitch is slated for 9:45 p.m. ET.

Russell Wilson's 6-Word Message to Jameis Winston After Signing Giants Contract
The New York Giants have been collecting quarterbacks this offseason. The team started by bringing back Tommy DeVito on a one-year, $1.03 million deal, then New York brought in Jameis Winston on a two-year, $8 million deal, and on Wednesday, the Giants officially signed Russell Wilson to a one-year, $10.5 million contract that can be worth up to $21 million with added incentives. '#Giants QB Russell Wilson's $10.5M deal includes a complicated incentive package that can be worth up to $7.5M more based on a variety of play-time, performance & playoff incentives,' NFL Network's Ian Rapoport wrote. 'Also up to $3M is available ($176.5K per game) based on wins and playing more than 50% plays.' Advertisement Before Wilson was signed, many believed that Winston, who threw for 2,121 yards, 13 touchdowns and 12 interceptions and went 2-5 as the Cleveland Browns' starter last season, would be New York's starting QB and effective placeholder in 2025 for whichever passer the team drafted next month. 'I expect to be the starter,' Wilson told reporters after officially putting pen to paper on his one-year deal. While Wilson's declaration likely didn't come as much of a surprise to anyone who's compared his and Winston's NFL resumes, it does add an intriguing new wrinkle for those who believed just 24 hours prior that New York would have an open quarterback competition heading into camp. Advertisement ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Tuesday that even if the Giants signed Wilson, and though they already have two other QBs under contract, it wouldn't stop them from taking Colorado signal-caller Shedeur Sanders with the No. 3 overall pick in next month's draft. Ex-Pittsburgh Steelers QB Russell Wilson warms up against the Cleveland Blaze-Imagn Images Sanders has been linked to the Giants for months, and he even wore Giants-themed cleats during the Alamo Bowl back in December. If New York does take Sanders, it's expected Winston will back up Wilson with Sanders and DeVito battling for the No. 3 job in training camp and the preseason, which would allow the Giants to develop the 23-year-old QB at whatever pace he's comfortable with.
