The brunette beauty, who now lives in Barcelona, Spain, was deciding between four different picks - an adorable Gingham maxi dress, a flattering dress in pastel yellow, a gorgeous satin pink skirt teamed with a light yellow waistcoat, as well as as maxi lace number in pink and yellow. However, despite being told by social media critics that the red and white Gingham dress was ''too casual'', it was this option Rosie went with. In the follow-up clip before the romantic ceremony, the style lover modelled the cute sleeveless dress that she had paired with a white pearl necklace, a chic updo, as well as some golden jewellery. Yet it was the choice of footwear that seemed to cause the most uproar in the comments - as Rosie decided to do rock comfy black flip-flops. All chuffed with the final look, she wrote: ''The wedding guest dress that you all called 'too casual'. ''Do you still agree?'' 'Flip flops for wedding is wild' But while Rosie looked stunning - and was comfortable - keyboard warriors weren't sure if the final outfit was fit for a wedding. The clip, posted under the username @rosieridgers, has since racked up more than 173k views in less than 24 hours, with over 90 people flooding to comments. One person thought: ''it's super cute but 1000% too casual. this is like a brunch or picnic or just summer weekend look.'' Frankie Bridge slammed by fans again for SHEER wedding guest dress that's 'too much' and will 'upstage the bridge' Meanwhile, someone else said that Rosie's decision to sport flip-flops at a wedding was ''wild''. Another agreed, writing: ''Maybe just add a strappy heel (even a low one)... The flip flops are defo too casual (certainly for a day 1).'' A fourth chimed in sharing how they'd make the cute ensemble more ''wedding-appropriate'' in their eyes. ''Sweet kitten heel would have made this wedding appropriate. Flip flops would not be my choice.'' ''cute but casual, makes me think of those gingham dresses used to wear to primary school,'' commented a viewer. Wedding Guest Outfit Etiquette If you're struggling to decided on a dress to see you through wedding season, here's a few rules on what not to wear so you don't get in trouble. Folklore says that wearing red at a wedding means you slept with the groom. Casual attire like jeans and flip flops should always be avoided. Any colour that could be picked up as white or cream - even if it's not. Most would agree that your cleavage needs to be covered. Wearing white is a massive no-no if you're not the bride. 'It was such a casual wedding' After being slammed in the comments, Rosie hit back at the critics, ordering them to ''relax''. ''Guys, this is a bit of a wind up, it was such a casual wedding! And I knew that going into it, they wanted everyone to be extra comfortable & happy during the evening! ''It was such a special way to organise it and I knew some of you would debate it in the comments BUT some of you are taking it too far. ''God forbid a girl gets her engagement up x x x pls relax.''

I Missed Out On This Instagram-Famous Top Twice - But It's Just Been Restocked

Lighter evenings, Pimms back on the menu and constant talk about a looming heatwave all point in one direction - we're waiting for summer. As for your wardrobe? Nothing says 'I'm ready for summer' like digging out gingham, well, everything. Whether the print conjures memories of 90s rom-com wardrobes, picnic blankets (in a chic way of course) or Alexa Chung's festival heyday, gingham has truly earned its place as a sunny staple. Albaray's take on the gingham trend, its Gingham Blouse, feels somewhat nostalgic, thanks to its comfortable elasticated neckline. Steering clear of twee territory or any cottagecore connotations, the monochrome check is anything but frumpy, and the sleeves have a gentle puff, which gives the top volume and interest (but won't make you feel like you're off to a debutante). Plus, made from a responsibly sourced cotton blend, the gingham blouse also ticks the box for breathable comfort, designed to take you from a commute on the central line to copious beer gardens this summer. Gingham Blouse Albaray's Gingham Blouse is the perfect summer top. Not only does it have that trending gingham pattern that's reminiscent of a (very chic) picnic blanket, but it also has balloon sleeves and elasticated neckline - which means it can be worn one of two ways - on your shoulders or off. Depending on how you want to style the blouse, the top can be worn both on and off your shoulders. Yes, it may be tan line-dependent, but this Albaray top actually stays put if you're planning to wear it off the shoulder without having to constantly readjust. Style it with a pair of wide-leg linen trousers and a straw bag for a look that wouldn't look out of place on the French Riviera, or, for everyday with Bermuda shorts and chunky sandals. Come the cooler evenings, layer the Gingham Blouse underneath a lightweight trench coat (Alexa Chung was spotted in an affordable Mango style only last week) or boxy blazer. It's rare to find a summer top this good - and, clearly I'm not alone as the Gingham Blouse has just been restocked for the second time and is already selling out in a couple of sizes. Gingham may be a timeless print, but this one won't be around long so serious contemplation isn't advised. GAP teams up with Meghan Markle-loved brand for luxe-for-less range from £35

GAP's second collab with Meghan Markle-approved brand DÔEN is full of dreamy florals, picnic-print gingham and timeless denim that starts from £35 GAP has just launched its second collaboration with DÔEN, the chic California brand loved by Meghan Markle, and it's as floaty, floral and feminine as we'd hoped it be. Known for its vintage-inspired silhouettes and romantic prints, DÔEN has long been a favourite among celebs and fashion lovers, but its price tags are definitely on the pricier side. That's why this luxe-for-less collab is right up our street. The collection combines DÔEN's signature elegant boho style with GAP's high quality wardrobe basics to create the perfect spring/summer capsule wardrobe. Expect ditsy floral dresses, spring-perfect gingham prints, classic denim, and pointelle knits. Whether you're adding to your summer wardrobe or just want to channel some Meghan Markle-approved style without breaking the bank, we've rounded up a few of our favourite pieces from the collab. Blue DÔEN Floral Maxi Dress Available for £120 here Florals for spring? Groundbreaking. No but seriously, you really can't go wrong with having a floral dress in your spring/summer wardrobe, and this maxi ticks all the boxes. The square neck and elasticated waist really help to accentuate your figure, and being 100% cotton ensures this dress will keep you breezy and cool all summer long. Black DÔEN Eyelet Sleeveless Top Available for £60 here One of favourites in the collection is this sleeveless eyelet top. It has that boho chic feel that's right on trend for this year, and is one of those versatile pieces you could make work for any occasion. Team with jeans to make it feel more casual or pair with a white maxi skirt for the ultimate bohemian, relaxed vibe. Blue DÔEN Denim Sailor Mini Dress Available for £80 here GAP's denim is some of the best, so it's no surprise to see a few denim pieces in the collection. We love that they've strayed away from classic jeans adn shorts, and opted for items like this sailor mini dress. The shift silhouette is trending right now, and we love how the collar elevates the piece from being just a simple mini dress. Navy/Blue DÔEN 100% Linen Gingham Maxi Dress Available for £180 here Gingham is always in for spring, and as it should be. It's a timeless fabric that will literally never go out style. And the best part about this dress? It's 100% linen meaning it has natural breathability, as well as moisture-wickening properties so you'll stay cool and dry all summer long. If you're looking for the ultimate office dress that can transition into post-work plans, this is it. Cream DÔEN Linen-Blend Pointelle Cardigan Available for £65 here A thin-knit cardigan really is a life saver in the UK summertime. You never know when the weather could change and we love how cute this pointelle linen-blend cardi looks. Layer over a mini dress when the temperature drops on those British summer evenings. White DÔEN Eyelet Maxi Dress Available for £165 here With it's cinched waist, all over eyelet detailing and fit and flare silhouette, this dress is the ultimate summer dress. It's chic, feminine and has that vintage-feel that DÔEN's dresses nail so well. And if the white isn't your colour, don't worry, as it's also available in a classic black. Team with strappy gladiator sandals and a trendy basket bag for a picnic day out with the girls. A few other summer buys we've been enjoying recently include the Adalia White Cotton Blouse from Finery. If you've been looking for a blouse that feels polished but still lets you breathe, this crisp white top is the perfect combination of stylish and practical. While New Look's Linen-Look Shirred Waist Midi Shirt Dress is under £40 and has shoppers singing its praises for its adaptability, noting you could wear it to the office in the summer or pair it with pumps at the weekend.
