Woman struck by van in Crawford County
GIRARD, Kan. (KSNW) — An 18-year-old woman was critically injured after she was struck by a van late Wednesday night. It happened east of Girard in Crawford County shortly after 11 p.m.
The Crawford County Sheriff's Office says the woman was crossing Kansas Highway 47 at 190th Avenue from south to north when a westbound Ford Transit van struck her.

911 was contacted immediately, and the van driver stopped and began first aid before emergency crews arrived at the scene. The woman was transported to Girard Medical Center for treatment and later flown to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa in critical condition, according to the sheriff's office.
The sheriff's office says it does not believe that either the driver or the woman was impaired at the time of the accident.
