Glastonbury 2025 day-by-day weather forecast – will rain or heatwaves strike Worthy Farm this year?

Glastonbury 2025 is this week. And if you were lucky enough to get your hands on tickets, you'll likely be packing your bags as we speak. But here's the question – do you pack wellies or flip flops? A water-proof poncho or sunglasses? An umbrella or factor 50? Here's what you need to pack for Glastonbury 2025 and all the stuff you definitely can't bring. This is the UK, so the weather at the end of June could be anything from miserably wet to excruciatingly hot – and this week/end the UK will see both rain and toasty weather. Neither are particularly ideal for an outdoor music festival packed with hundreds of thousands of people, but you can at least be prepared. With the 1975, Neil Young and Olivia Rodrigo headlining this year's event (from June 25 to 29), here's hoping southwest England stays pleasantly warm and dry for Glastonbury 2025. Now forecasters have a decent idea of what the weather will be saying, here's the full forecast Worthy Farm this year. The Met Office weather forecast for Glastonbury As it stands, the weather isn't looking bad for Glasto-goers – in fact, dare we say it, thee weather could be really quite nice. Here's the day-by-day forecast, according to the Met Office. Wednesday June 25 'Sunny intervals changing to cloudy by nighttime' says the Met, with highs of 25C and lows of 16C. There's a slight (up to 30 percent) chance of rain from the early evening onwards. Thursday June 26 'Light rain changing to overcast by late morning' is the verdict, with highs of 22C and lows of 13C. This'll be Glasto's chilliest day, though the rain should peter out by midday or so. Friday June 27 'Sunny intervals changing to overcast by nighttime' is the official summary, with highs of 26C and lows of 17C. It'll be a bit blustery in the afternoon, though there's very little chance of rain until the early hours of Saturday. Saturday June 28 There's a slight (up to 10 percent) chance of precipitation in the early hours of Saturday, though the rest of the day will range from 16C to 26C. 'Cloudy changing to sunny intervals by late morning' says the Met. Sunday June 29 'Sunny intervals changing to partly cloudy by nighttime' is the Met Office verdict, with lows of 15C and highs of 26C. Sunday is also looking like the least windy day at Worthy Farm this year. BBC Weather The BBC's predictions are looking rather similar to the Met Office, with the main predictions for rain being on Wednesday afternoon/evening and Thursday morning. The Beeb also reckons there's a decent chance of rain throughout the day on Saturday, though says both Friday and Sunday will be dry. Accuweather AccuWeather's forecast is a tad more sceptical about the sunshine, saying Wednesday on Worthy Farm will be 'cloudy with scattered showers' and that Thursday will see a 'passing morning shower'. The site then goes on to say Friday will be 'breezy and warm with sunny periods', it sums up Saturday with 'morning low clouds; decreasing cloud in the afternoon', and says Sunday will be 'pleasantly warm with bright periods'. So, looks like you'll need yer cagoule and sunnies! It wouldn't be Glasto without unpredictable weather – and besides, it's of course worth bearing in mind that the weather is still subject to change.

Glastonbury 2025 Day 2 review: Neil Young, Pulp and Charli xcx

Our heads are sore today after spending last night dancing next to Harry Styles at the legendary NYC Downlow into the early hours, but it was totally worth it. Saturday showed no let up for Glasto-goers from the scorching late-June heat, or from the momentum of performances during the festival's second day. We kicked things off with a bright and early midday set: a proper throwback seeing Kaiser Chiefs on the Pyramid Stage. It was a riot. Meanwhile JADE took the roof off at Woodsies, and later on, the weekend's most controversial booking Kneecap almost actually incited a riot, before swiftly taking it back (we're sure their lawyers were in their ears during that one). As for the headliners, all the Gen Z fans headed to Charli xcx and Doechii, while old rockers flocked to Neil Young. Across Glasto 2025, Time Out has writers on the ground. India Lawrence and Liv Kelly round up all the best performances below, but you can have a read of all our other stuff (including headliner previews and guides to this year's full schedule, secret sets and how to watch online) in our Glastonbury hub. RECOMMENDED: ⭐ Glastonbury 2025 Day 1 review: The 1975, Lewis Capaldi and Gracie Abrams ⭐⭐⭐ Glastonbury 2025 day 3 review: Olivia Rodrigo, Rod Stewart, Wolf Alice and The Libertines 🎪 Glastonbury 2025 review: popstars ruled the weekend, but special guests have lost their cool 🤫 Glastonbury 2025 secret sets and festival rumours: everything you need to know. 🎉 Full list of acts confirmed for Glastonbury 2025. ❓ Is Glastonbury taking place in 2026? 🎟️ How to get tickets for Glastonbury 2027 📺 How to watch highlights from Glastonbury 2025 on TV. Neil Young and The Chrome Hearts on the Pyramid Stage: no-fuss headline set from a living songwriting legend Neil Young's journey to his headline slot at the Pyramid Stage has been somewhat rocky. Before the announcement of his performance Young made the claim that the festival was now under too much 'corporate control', and that was more recently followed by confusion about whether his set would be available to watch on TV (as of Saturday afternoon, it is). But as soon as Young and his band The Chrome Hearts took to the Pyramid Stage, all the chaotic events from the run-up to his show were forgotten. The Canadian-American has a whopping 40 studio albums to his name, and hit after hit was rattled through with a skill that can be attributed to his sprawling, 60-year career: 'Sugar Mountain' and 'Cinnamon Girl' cropped up early, and 'Harvest Moon' was lovingly strummed out, lulling the crowd into a dreamy singalong. His wrists were wrapped with pink support bandages, but he still played extended, complex guitar riffs and the harmonica magnificently, and his voice sounded just the same as always. While Young kept his cap low over his eyes for most of the set, he broke into the occasional grin and asked the 'folks' in the modestly-sized crowd how they were doing regularly. It was a fuss-free set with the energy depending almost entirely on whether Young was peacefully playing an acoustic, or frenziedly strumming on an electric, giving any superfans a comprehensive run-through of his massive catalogue. Liv Charli xcx: 365 partygirl doesn't need special guests for a killer headline show 'Does this mean that Brat is over?' read the text across the screen at the end of Charli xcx's Other stage headline show. 'Probably… NOT.' She teased. 'Brat summer is forever.' And the crowd breathed a sigh of relief. Thank goodness for that. An absolutely mammoth horde, dressed in hotpants, sunglasses and bright green shirts congregated at the Other Stage this evening, filling the newly expanded field all the way to the back. After a brief montage, Charli xcx stormed onto the stage in a flurry of strobe lights. She partied through '365 featuring shygirl' and '360' before the Brat sign, now distressed and covered in black marks, went up in flames. For the next hour and a half she ricocheted between bolshy, preposterous confidence, strutting up and down, whipping her hair, swearing into the camera during 'Von Dutch'; to melancholy, vulnerable and contemplative, like when she was on all fours and writhing during sad banger 'party for u'. She delved into the back catalogue for the OG fans, playing 'Vroom Vroom', 'Unlock it (Lock It)' and 'Track 10'. Some of the crowd was aghast at her brash stage presence. Every now and again the mask came down: 'I'm known to have a heart of a stone, this is very f**king emotional right now,' she said, breathless after an energetic 'Speed Drive'. 'You're f**king cool as f**k... But not as cool as me, b*tch.' And Gracie Abrams did the 'Apple' dance. The set ended somewhat abruptly with 'I Love It', which got everyone on the floor jumping. The punters were waiting for a surprise guest, but none came. Were fans disappointed not to see Lorde, Billie Eilish or Addison Rae? Definitely. But for me, it didn't matter. It was also classic Charli – pure ego, and throwing out the rule book of the typical Glasto headline set that requires glitzy guests and special extras. No, there were no outfit changes, no surprise performers, no gimmicks. It was pure Charli, at her very best. India Kneecap on West Holts: mosh pits and a call to 'f**k Keir Starmer' 'The BBC editor is going to have some job [cropping those],' Mo Chara (real name Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh) joked, referring to the hundreds of Palestine flags filling the skies at the West Holts stage this afternoon. Because despite calls from celebrities like Sharon Osborne, music industry professionals and Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer for Kneecap to be removed from the lineup, and an upcoming court case for terror charges for co-lead Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh, the Irish rap group showed no signs of backing down this afternoon as they performed to a shoulder-to-shoulder crowd that saw the area shut down an hour before they came on stage. As expected, Kneecap's performances flitted between political calls to action (they led chants of 'F**k Keir Starmer' and 'Free Palestine') and raucous rap, backed by brash, bass heavy production. As for the music, frontmen Mo Chara and Moglai Bap had excellent flow, and truly hyped the onlookers, commanding the rapt crowd to open up mosh pits when they wanted, and listen to their political rhetoric at other times. Being at this performance felt like a genuinely exciting, radical moment for the festival, and was a real palate cleanser after Matty Healy's anti-politics talk on Friday night. India Pulp on the Pyramid Stage: are you ready for Pulp summer? A parade of people in black and white rain ponchos traipsed onto the stage, forming a wall to shield the enigmatic 'Patchwork' as they walked out. Really, the thousands of unshowered people gathered at Glasto's main stage already knew it was going to be Pulp (with many a band t-shirt spotted throughout the day). And when Jarvis Cocker emerged, dressed in a brown suit, with '70s-sque square glasses to match, they were not disappointed. He launched into 'Sorted for Es and Whizz' and then straight into 'Disco 2000', which was superb as ever. Then we were treated to the recently released song 'Spike Island', which was euphoric and emotional. There was a lot of talking during the set, with Cocker stopping to have a little chat with the audience in between almost every song: eventually he was told to hurry up, but it was pretty endearing. Swaggering around the stage, Cocker was like the eccentric uncle you never had but always wanted. Despite his many asides – which fed us tidbits about Glastos gone by, and their songwriting process (including a shout out to Charli xcx) – Cocker was leading a masterclass in crowd engagement: during 'O.U. (Gone, Gone)' he was conducting a 50,000-strong choir; before the finale he asked how they should spend their final 10 minutes – playing 'Common People', obviously. India Haim on the Park Stage: Trio surprises Glasto-goers with cheerful, slightly clumsy set Confirmation that rock band Haim would be performing this Saturday secret set came a couple of hours prior, when they posted an image of the Park Stage on their Instagram. After the three sisters, who hail from California, filed onto stage aggressively rallying and hyping the crowd, they dove straight into 'The Wire', a hit from their first album Days Are Gone, and youngest of the trio Alana nostalgically told the punters that The Park was where they performed during that era of their career. But three albums (and a 2022 performance on the Pyramid Stage) later – the newest release being 'I Quit', which came out on June 20 – they're obviously thrilled to be back on the hillside. Haim took the crowd through new single 'Relationships' with the scandalous backstories of said relationship scrolling across the top of the screen in bold red letters in a gossip-y way, as well as top tracks 'The Steps' and 'Now I'm In It', flexing their proficiency as instrumentalists and performers. There is no denying that Haim are masters of crowd engagement: Danniele got a huge cheer when she asked 'is it okay if I step on the drumset for a little bit?', and Alana bolstered a raucous singalong, stating she was 'addicted to [the audience's] beautiful voices'. Their set was far from smooth – what seemed like minor tech issues and a handful of awkward pauses reminded lookers-on that this was far from a well-trodden tour show, but the cobbled-togetherness was overshadowed by Haim's excitement to be back at Glasto. Liv JADE on Woodsies: Former girl-bander solidifies path as pop's next It Girl Donning a Brat green Choose Love hoodie, Ncuti Gatwa, whose voice features on 'Midnight Cowboy', sashayed onto stage in front of a crowd of almost exclusively girls, gays and theys to announce 'the performance is about to begin'. What followed was a set that acted as JADE's coronation into pop royalty. She's obviously a confident and self-assured performer, having spent a decade in one of the world's most successful girl groups, but the metallic-heavy set design, choreography, slick transitions, command of the crowd and catalogue of seriously good pop music proved she was right in backing herself as a solo artist – all while remaining endearingly humble. Despite no debut album, JADE easily filled her slot, straight into singles like 'It Girl' and 'FUFN' from her EP Plastic Box, before a crowd-pleasing medley of Little Mix hits. She sweetly acknowledged 'the girls' (her former bandmates) before confessing that she's keen to move away from the 'old [her]', and that none would be making an appearance – instead, she brought out Confidence Man. One cover of Madonna's 'Frozen', a soulful, saxophone-backed take on 'Fantasy' and a teary rendition of 'Angel Of My Dreams' later, JADE's set left the crowd riding a high. Liv Kaiser Chiefs on the Pyramid Stage: a silly throwback with plenty of indie bangers The Kaiser Chiefs don't care if they are 'past it'. The show, which gathered a pretty massive crowd of middle-aged folk and millennials, where many a shit shirt abounded, was prefaced with the theme to Jurassic Park, followed by 'Walk the Dinosaur'. Ricky Wilson emerged in tight jeans and a green pinstripe blazer that was sort of giving Beetlejuice, before roaring into 'Every Day I Love You Less and Less'. Martin seemed like he was having a great time as he leapt and ran about the stage. At one moment he rasped, 'Put your hands in the air if you've heard of the Kaiser Chiefs,' like a children's party entertainer. Not all of these indie landfill tunes are great hits: the high pitched 'na na nas' of the very cleverly named 'Na Na Na Na Naa' were grating as hell, and I wanted it to be over. Still, for 12pm on Saturday this throwback set was enough to get the tired crowd reared up for another day on the farm. For the grand finale, flare smoke filled the field from front to back during 'I Predict a Riot'. India Good Neighbours on The Other Stage: indie-duo newcomers eased us into Glastonbury day two Snagging a Saturday lunchtime slot on Worthy Farm's second-largest stage is pretty nifty work from this British indie-rock duo who only officially formed in 2024, but as frontman Oli Fox notes, the pair have been 'grinding for over a decade'. Good Neighbours gained a decent following when their debut single 'Home' won them a number 26 place on the UK charts last year, and an anthemic rendition of it helped them close up this set. But it's by no means their best song — in fact, the 45-minute performance, where the small crowd of loyal fans steadily and substantially grew by the finale, enabled them to do their much lesser-known tracks justice. 'Starry Eyed' was a cheesy but super catchy, slower-paced love song which Fox described as the 'boring one,' but that the crowd loved, and 'Ripple' saw the duo and their band freeze like statues for just enough beats to confuse viewers, before launching back into the song with proper welly. Is this stuff original? Well, the relatively pedestrian lyrics and Dalston-y uniform of trendy sunnies, bleached hair and pearl necklaces said otherwise (shocker: they are in fact based in East London), but Good Neighbours were a fun, easy watch, and they deserve a load of credit for warming everyone up for Glasto's second day. Glastonbury Festival weather: For the latest forecast follow a guy called Gav

To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video For those heading to Glastonbury Festival this week, talk about the weather is the hot topic in the days leading up to the massive music event. From frantically checking the forecast in the hopes that it won't be a washout, to packing and repacking different types of clothes for the changing weather, Glasto-goers are on weather watch. One man has developed quite the cult-following for his Glastonbury weather updates, with more than 20,000 subscribers on YouTube. His name is Gavin Partridge, 47 – otherwise known as GavsWeatherVids. The 47-year-old amateur forecaster from Long Buckby, Northamptonshire, has been running his Glastonbury weather predictions since the creation of his channel in 2012. 'It started off with me looking at the weather for specific summer events and Glasto is one of the biggest,' Gav told Metro. 'I've got a bit of a reputation with the Glasto-goers now and my fanbase has steadily grown. 'It really is lovely. 'In 2022 it really started blowing up. I sent my address to somebody and then suddenly all these postcards started getting delivered to me straight from Glasto. 'It was a bad year for me that year and I thought I would stop Glasto updates altogether but the thought of people's kindness helped me through.' For fans of Gav's videos, you'll already know that he encourages festival goers to 'soak up the atmosphere' on the Wednesday once they've pitched up their tents. He officially confirmed that this is his Glastonbury catchphrase. 'It has certainly caught on over the years with Glasto-goers,' he said. 'It wasn't like that at first. One year I didn't say the catchphrase at all but somebody noticed and then it became the catchphrase that it is today.' Gav uses different forecast models to predict the likelihood of certain weather patterns with the technology set up in his living room. The weather vlogger posted his first Glastonbury weather forecast on YouTube on Friday, 12 days before gates open on June 25, 2025. His seventh update was posted on YouTube today with people in the comments section posting that Gav is a legend. While Gav also makes general videos, he said his Glasto ones are the ones that have the closest following. 'I'm not sure why there is so much interest in my Glasto videos – maybe it is my personality,' Gav said. 'I think it acts as an official countdown for the festival goers. People are interested in whether it will be sunny or a washout. 'What is lovely is whatever news I deliver, good or bad, it is always taken well by Glasto-goers.' Gav has no plans to stop making the videos and is a full-time YouTuber now. 'It is like my child,' he said. 'I think if I was to go to Glasto myself I'd need a nice hotel nearby. Camping isn't my thing. 'It would be great to meet some of the subscribers at some point though.' Wednesday, June 25 – Low pressure out to the north west. Mainly dry weather with a few showers, temperatures around the 23/24°C mark. Thursday, June 26 – Overnight from Wednesday into Thursday some showery rain but mostly dry in the day with temperatures around 20/21°C. Friday, June 27 – High pressure starts to build up from the south with low pressure up away towards the north. Mainly dry, plenty of sunshine, temperatures in the mid to high-20s. Saturday, June 28 – High pressure strengthening, mainly dry with plenty of sunshine. Temperatures around the mid-20s. Sunday, June 29 – High pressure bringing dry and warm weather, with temperatures in the upper-20s. Monday, June 30 – Mostly dry, temperatures approaching 30°C. Hot temperatures are often talked about among Glasto fans, but you don't want it too hot. The hottest temperature recorded at the festival was in 2017, when temperatures soared to 31.2°C on Wednesday, June 21. The intense heat impacted attendees, with some needing medical treatment because of the hot conditions. Rain and mud are the other talking point at Glastonbury, and they are an awful combo. More Trending The wettest day happened in 2007 when 60.1mm of rain fell on the Friday, June 22. Parts of the site were turned into a muddy quagmire and the rain continued throughout the weekend for those watching headliners Arctic Monkeys, The Who, and The Killers. All the rumoured secret sets at Glastonbury 2025 from Pulp to Lewis Capaldi

It's almost time for the gates of Worthy Farm to open and there are still plenty of secrets sets in the lineup for Glastonbury 2025 yet to be uncovered. Organisers slowly revealed the artists for each stage ahead of the festival — which runs from Wednesday, June 25 to Sunday, June 29 — but Glasto-goers know there's plenty hidden in the fields. Attention this year is largely focused on the mysterious Patchwork, who are taking to the Pyramid Stage on Saturday, but there were a whopping 56 TBAs (to be announced) when the full lineup dropped. Emily Eavis — head organiser and daughter of Sir Michael Eavis — teased that Patchwork has been 'in the works for a while', so it's bound to be a big'un. Glastonbury has an epic legacy of artists like David Bowie, Sir Elton John, Beyonce, Adele, and Oasis so the possibilities are endless. While Olivia Rodrigo, The 1975 and Neil Young headline and the likes of Scissor Sisters and Busta Rhymes are set to perform elsewhere, these are the most heavily speculated names for 2025's secret sets. Pulp rumours simply won't go away for Glastonbury 2025 as fans are utterly convinced they will be performing somewhere across the weekend. Despite frontman Jarvis Cocker saying the group would not be taking to the stage, they are favourites to fill the Patchwork void. Seemingly confirming the news, SecretGlasto shared a video of a patchwork quilt and someone using a sewing machine before cutting to clips of Jarvis and Pulp. The Britpop icons headlined the festival in 1995 after The Stone Roses pulled out, going down in history as one of the best performances. Every year, rumours circulate that Pulp will return but since 1998 we've been left disappointed – except for some solo sets from the frontman. Made up of Jarvis, Candida Doyle, Nick Banks and Mark Webber, the Common People hitmakers revealed a summer arena tour in June. Original bassist Steve Mackey sadly died in 2023, age 56, after a three-month stay in hospital for an undisclosed illness. Helpfully, Pulp's string of dates wrapped on June 21, with Pulp also signing a new record deal and dropping new music. 'Why do we play this game every year with Pulp? Just announce them already!!' wrote icy_device6873 on Reddit. 'Please come through Pulp,' said Minimum-Following794 as MrsCozzyOneStop added: 'Are they ever going to get Pulp?' Come on, Glastonbury, give the people what they want! The trio are finally back. Haim have released new their brand new album I Quit, warming up with singles like Relationships and Everybody's Trying to Figure Me Out. This might just be wishful thinking on our part, but Haim have been hotly speculated for a trip to Worthy Farm. The sisters – Danielle, Este, and Alana – have performed three times at Glastonbury in the past decade (2014, 2017, and 2022). As well as great timing as the trio post endless videos of themselves in London, they have expressed how much they love The Park stage — which has a TBA slot on Saturday at 7.30pm. When asked by Jo Whiley on BBC Radio 2 whether they were free on the Glastonbury weekend, the Falling hitmakers said: 'Well we are playing Margate a couple of days before, so we will be in the area..' 'We love the Park Stage. We played there the first time we came to Glastonbury, it felt like a movie. We were like, how did we get here?' they said. 'You'll never forget the first time you step onto the farm. It's the most insane feeling we will ever have.' Haim were also set to play in 2020, scheduled to take the stage the same week their critically acclaimed third album Women in Music Pt. III was released. While they finally took to the stage two years later in what NME dubbed a 'victory lap', could The Wire hitmakers be looking to re-do their album rollout plan? Oh, did we mention there's a track called the farm on the new album? If they're not there, we quit. Who could forget Lewis Capaldi's heartbreaking 2023 Pyramid Stage set as he broke down in tears on stage. The Someone You Loved hitmaker has been absent from the spotlight since he struggled to finish his performance at Worthy Farm due to vocal issues and a Tourette's flare-up. While he asked the thousands-strong crowd to help him sing his hit song Bruises — which they happily obliged — before wrapping up his set. He's been slowly but surely returning to the public eye, so what better way to celebrate his return to good health than with a triumphant return to the Pyramid Stage. Lewis, 26, is widely thought to be the secret set, scheduled to follow Alanis Morrisette on Saturday, which begins at 6:15pm and ends at 7:15pm. After the Ironic hitmaker performs, there'll then be an hour to fill before Biffy Clyro at quarter past eight; perfect for a Lewis resurgence. Fans have become convinced that Robbie Williams is set to thrill Worthy Farm attendees with an unexpected set. It all kicked off when the official Robbie Williams Facebook page changed its profile picture to the Angels hitmaker at Glastonbury in the 90s. His iconic bleached hair, the red tracksuit, and that missing tooth? The photo is instantly recognisable and Robbie is using it for his latest album, Britpop. There's a cheeky 16.55pm half-hour slot on Friday on the Pyramid Stage which would be perfect for a legendary setlist from this Better Man. He's got a gap in his tour from June 25 until June 28 (Wednesday to Saturday), meaning he could have time to do an earlier set and jet off to his next tour show. The Rock DJ legend last appeared at the festival in 1998 but said on podcast Robbie Williams Rewind, that he would 'slaughter' another performance. He said: 'It's one of those times and places, and a reimagination of what Robbie Williams is. When you do Glastonbury, perception changes more than any other festival. 'Diana Ross could play any festival and not get any traction, but she plays Glastonbury and everybody is talking about it – like Barry Gibb. A lot of people there have an oblique perception of what I am but if they saw me do it, I would take their heads off.' Hot off a brilliant performance at Brighton Pride last year, iconic artist Mika appears to have a Glasto-shaped hole in his tour announcement. At the end of March, the Grace Kelly legend shared that he would be visiting a variety of festivals around Europe this summer. He will perform at Latitude in Suffolk later in July, as well as numerous festivals in France and Italy on his 15 Days of Summer Tour. On June 26, Mika is at Festival De Nimes in France but he has nothing else lined up until July 3 where he is (somewhat helpfully) in Leeds at Millennium Square. Days later, he flies back to Europe, seemingly making a strange detour to the UK for one gig… just in time for Glastonbury. Mika is an absolutely classic pick for a mid-afternoon Other Stage or Pyramid performer, with enough big hits to fill a set and keep the energy up ahead of the headliners. The Lollipop hitmaker last played Worthy Farm in 2007, taking to The Other Stage on Sunday at 6pm, clashing with Paolo Nutini on Pyramid. Fans are convinced that hit 00s band The Wombats will also be playing a set after their latest album, Oh The Ocean, reached number four in the UK charts. Possibly, with no Other Stage TBAs, they could fill the mysterious Woodsies opening slot on Friday. The Wombats formed in Liverpool in 2003, consisting of Matthew Murphy (lead vocals, guitar, keyboards), Tord Øverland Knudsen (bass, backing vocals, keyboards), and Dan Haggis (drums, backing vocals, keyboards). Perhaps best known for their song Let's Dance to Joy Division, the band's first full-length studio album, A Guide to Love, Loss & Desperation, came out in conjunction with the single in 2007. Throughout the 2000s and 2010s, The Wombats became a staple of the British indie scene, releasing studio albums This Modern Glitch (2011), Glitterbug (2015), and Beautiful People Will Ruin Your Life (2018). Their first number-one album – Fix Yourself, Not the World – came in 2022, topping the UK Albums Chart within a week of release. User SpecificDentist3248 posted on Reddit: 'Thought the Wombats would be a shoo-in with their new album and them touring (playing Liverpool June 19th), wonder if a band of this size could get announced later on?' Character_Honey_653 thinks the odds look good for the band to appear, writing: 'They announced a large chunk of the Woodsies line up later on in April last year, including some good additions like the Vaccines. So I'm also praying for a Wombats announcement! You'd think it'd be likely.' rmackers-197 chimed in: 'They would definitely pull a good crowd that's for sure everyone loves the nostalgia vibes.' Currently, the band has a nice gap in their tour between June 22 and July 10, so maybe Murph and the boys will be at Worthy Farm. Beloved rockers Paramore are keeping fairly quiet, after opening for Taylor Swift on the entire UK and European leg of the Eras Tour. The long-time friends of the Cruel Summer hitmaker last released music in 2023 with hit album This Is Why, touring around the world that year. Paramore – consisting of Hayley Williams, Taylor York, Zac Farro, plus touring members – have never played Worthy Farm despite being one of the biggest bands of the past two decades. Lead singer Hayley has been teasing the possibility of finally embarking on her solo tour after Covid cancelled it, so could she take to a Glastonbury stage? If the band were to perform, they'd likely be much higher up the billing, but Hayley's solo music isn't so well known and could suit Woodsies or Park Stage. While this seems like a long shot, speculation continues to bubble after one Redditor said he had heard the Kerrang DJ accidentally confirm them ahead of the lineup announcement. Other fans – and Metro – were unable to verify this and it was dismissed but maybe Reddit user Rexydan24 simply had a vision. Pop-rock icons McFly could make an appearance at Worthy Farm – possibly bringing frenemies Busted with them. The band – consisting of Danny Jones, Tom Fletcher, Harry Judd, and Dougie Poynter – last played Glastonbury in 2022. The Avalon Stage proved far too small as crowds flocked to see big hits like Five Colours In Her Hair, Star Girl, or Obviously. This year, they are touring, with a break from June 22 to July 9, putting them in the perfect position for a Glastonbury slot. McFly are also running a series of gigs 'vs' Busted – James Bourne, Matt Willis and Charlie Simpson – their former chart rivals, known for Year 3000, Crashed the Wedding and 3am. This kicks off in September with 14 dates; what better way to introduce the concept than with an afternoon slot on the Pyramid Stage? We're thinking a nice Friday or Saturday battle or the bands moment, as Glastonbury performers are known to bring guests on. Fans hope they'll get to see as many of their favourite acts as possible after coughing up almost £400 to attend the iconic weekend. As mentioned, The 1975 are headlining Friday, Neil Young is the Saturday headliner, and Olivia Rodrigo takes Sunday's closing slot. Sir Rod Stewart will take Sunday's tea-time Legend slot, which last year was filled by Shania Twain. Brit award-winning artist of the year Charli XCX is on the lineup for Saturday, confirmed to be headlining the Other Stage by Nick Grimshaw and Annie Mac's Sidetracked podcast after taking over Levels last year. The Other Stage's Friday headliner is Loyle Carner while Sunday is The Prodigy, returning as headliner for the first time since Keith Flint's death. More Trending Legendary DJ Annie also self-confirmed while on the podcast, despite not being on the initial lineup announcement. The rest lineup is bursting with popular artists like Raye (on the Pyramid Stage), Biffy Clyro, Gracie Abrams, Doechii, Beabadoobee, and a debut Glasto performance from Noah Kahan. Lola Young is performing but that's no surprise after her accidental self-confirm at the Brit Awards, telling fans she was at Coachella and Glastonbury while on the red carpet. Only time will tell if Robbie Williams, Pulp, or anyone else rumoured takes to the stage. Got a story? To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video For those heading to Glastonbury Festival next week, talk about the weather is the hot topic in the days leading up to the massive music event. The 47-year-old amateur weather forecaster from Long Buckby, Northamptonshire, has been running his Glastonbury weather forecast predictions since the creation of his channel in 2012. His second update was posted on YouTube yesterday and already has 3,400 views. While Gav also makes general videos, he said his Glasto ones are the ones that have the closest following. 'I'm not sure why there is so much interest in my Glasto videos – maybe it is my personality. Camping isn't my thing.' 'It would be great to meet some of the subscribers at some point though.' Wednesday, June 25 – High pressure in control, which means it will mostly be sunny, dry and hot, with temperatures into the 30s. Thursday, June 26 – High pressure starts to push up to the north as a cooler and fresher north wind comes in. Temperatures dropping really quite dramatically around to the mid-20s. Friday, June 27 – Mainly dry, with temperatures in the upper teens. Saturday, June 28 – High pressure is back in dominance with temperatures in the low-20s. Sunday, June 29 – High pressure is just out to the west, but temperatures start to peak back up again into the mid-20s. Hot temperatures are often talked about among Glasto fans, but you don't want it too hot. The hottest temperature recorded at the festival was in 2017, when temperatures soared to 31.2°C on Wednesday, June 21. More Trending The intense heat impacted attendees, with some needing medical treatment because of the hot conditions. Rain and mud are the other talking point at Glastonbury, and they are an awful combo. The wettest day happened in 2007 when 60.1mm of rain fell on the Friday, June 22. Parts of the site were turned into a muddy quagmire and the rain continued throughout the weekend for those watching headliners Arctic Monkeys, The Who, and The Killers.
