In a new interview with the Radio Times, the singer opened up about the cost of making his Glastonbury comeback – a staggering £300,000. Sir Rod has been touring in the United States, a post that has meant his crew, staging, and equipment are all currently across the Atlantic. The logistics of transporting everything back for the UK festival haven't come cheap. He told the magazine: "It was about eight months ago when I was asked to do it, maybe a little longer. But it didn't fit with my schedule because I've got to bring everybody back from America. "It's going to cost me £300,000 to do it and they only pay you about 120,000 quid. So it's going to cost me." Despite the financial hit, Sir Rod is clearly not fazed by the expense. For him, the chance to take on the Glastonbury Legends slot is well worth the price. He says it 'doesn't matter' if he ends up out of pocket. Sir Rod will take to the Pyramid Stage on Sunday 29th June, the final day of the festival, with his performance scheduled for the early evening. In a post on Instagram last week, Sir Rod announced that he will now be cancelling four US tour dates and rescheduling two others, all of which were meant to take place over the next eight days. He wrote: "So sorry my friends. I'm devastated and sincerely apologise for any inconvenience to my fans. I'll be back on stage and will see you soon." The Grammy-winner signed off with a heartbroken emoji. His next slide confirmed the four cancelled dates are three performances at the Colosseum Theater in Las Vegas, Nevada, and one at Lake Tahoe Amphitheater at Caeser's Republic in Stateline, Nevada. He is rescheduling two dates at casinos in California. Sir Rod has cancelled a number of dates at his Colosseum residency over the last week, with his scheduled June 2nd and June 5th performances. The multiple cancellations come after he was put on vocal rest between performances in May. His string of performances come after Sir Rod noted he was planning to stop large-scale world tours at the end of this year. However, he vowed to keep performing, just at more intimate venues. Glastonbury 2025 - confirmed acts so far TICKETS to the 2025 festival sold out in just minutes before some of the acts were even confirmed. Here is who has been confirmed so far.
