Bookies reveal Dani Dyer as Strictly Come Dancing favourite with more contestants yet to be announced

Bookies revealed which celebrity is the Strictly Come Dancing favourite to win on Thursday after ten contestants were announced this week. Dani Dyer, 29, is the early favourite to lift the Glitter Ball trophy with bookies having her at 4/1, while YouTuber George Clarke is next on 6/1. So far, ten celebrities have confirmed their participation in the BBC show with The Apprentice's Thomas Skinner most recently joining the ensemble. He follows trailblazing model and influencer Ellie Goldstein, Drag Race star La Voix and rugby player Chris Robshaw. But it seems Dani in particular already has everyone talking, before the full line-up has even been announced. Meanwhile, Ladbrokes have Ellie Goldstein and sprinter-turned-Gladiator Harry Aikines-Aryeetey are both at 8/1 to win the series. Sportsmen ex-England rugby captain Chris Robshaw comes in at 20/1 and former Premier League star Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink at 25/1. Cal Gildart of Ladbrokes said: 'Dani Dyer is the current pick of this year's Strictly pack, but with contestants still to be announced, we could soon see someone waltz past her to the head of the betting.' Dani was the second star to be announced as part of the Strictly Come Dancing 2025 line-up, on The One Show on Monday night. She said: 'Getting the opportunity to be on Strictly is the second most amazing thing I've done this year! 'I feel very very blessed and cannot wait to get my dancing shoes on.' Thomas Skinner was revealed as the 10th celebrity contestant for Strictly Come Dancing 2025 on Thursday. He first hit TV screens on The Apprentice in 2019, becoming a breakout star of his series. Since leaving the boardroom, he has become a social media star - recently shocking fans when it was revealed he'd formed an unlikely friendship with JD Vance, after the US vice-president became familiar with his profile on X/ Twitter. Thomas' unlikely friendship with JD began on X and resulted in Thomas receiving an invite to join the politician at his Cotswolds holiday residence for a barbecue where other guests included Cambridge academic James Orr and Conservative MP Danny Kruger. Olympian and Gladiators star Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, was the first star announced followed by Doctor Who star Alex Kingston and sportsman Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink. They will join EastEnders actress Balvinder Sopal, who plays Suki Panesar on the BBC soap, and was revealed as a cast member live on Good Morning Britain on Tuesday. Elsewhere, Dani has sparked a 'fix row' as her past dance experience has been revealed. In an unearthed passage from her autobiography, she boasted about being a 'qualified dancer', with fans questioning if she has an unfair advantage. Last year trained dancer Tasha Ghouri faced a backlash for her training, as well as JLS star JB Gill. The daughter of acting legend Danny Dyer said in her 2019 book that she would put 'qualified dancer' under the list of qualifications on her CV. Writing in her book, Dani wrote about how she went to theatre school at weekends from the age of 2 to 14. She said: 'It was called O'Farrell's Stage School and I was a really good little dancer. 'I'm not a bad singer but it was the dance stuff I loved more - jazz, tap, ballet, modern. I'd get home and prance around the house.' Daily Mail has contacted Dani's representatives and BBC for comment. On Sunday it was reported that Natalie Imbruglia and Delta Goodrem are 'in negotiations' to take part in the show. A new report suggested the two Australian stars are both in talks to appear while another former Neighbours star - Stefan Dennis - is also said to be in the running. A source told The Sun: 'Talks are at a point where things could go in a number of different directions but if both celebrities signed up then that would be seen as quite a coup for the show. 'Delta and Natalie would bring some glamour to the programme, and be some of this year's most eagerly anticipated competitors. 'If all three former Neighbours stars end up performing, the Strictly dance floor will end up looking more like Ramsay Street.' All the celebs lined up for Strictly 2025 from Love Island winner to BBC star, Olympian and model

THE Strictly Come Dancing 2025 launch is fast approaching - and if the rumoured line-up is anything to go by, fans are in for one of the best series yet. The reigning Strictly champ is comedian Chris McCausland, who lifted the Glitter Ball trophy last year with Dianne Buswell. 9 But this year names heavily tipped to take to the dancefloor include winners of huge shows such as Love Island and I'm a Celebrity, as well as an Olympic legend. Here's all the famous faces reported to be signing up for Strictly this year. Dani Dyer 9 It's already been a huge year for Dani, 28, after she tied the knot with West Ham footballer Jarrod Bowen. But Dani, the daughter of actor Danny Dyer, is in talks to waltz onto Strictly later this year, as The Sun revealed in June. The mum-of-three is no stranger to winning reality shows, after scooping the £50,000 Love Island prize with ex-boyfriend Jack Fincham in 2018. Stefan Dennis 9 Actor Stefan, 66, will show fans a very different side to him after The Sun revealed he's signed up for Strictly. The Neighbours legend has played Ramsay Street lothario Paul Robinson since the first episode in 1985. But, after the Australian soap filmed its final episode earlier this month, Stefan is free to explore other options. Vicky Pattison 9 She's been a permanent fixture on our screens since shooting to fame on Geordie Shore in 2011. And 37-year-old Vicky 's popularity among viewers was cemented when she won the 2015 series of I'm a Celebrity. Shirley Ballas reveals Strictly's new signings and teases line-up is 'off the charts' The Sun confirmed this month how Vicky had been offered a place in this year's line-up, and she previously told us - while she'd love to do the show - she'll struggle with the dances. She said: 'I've done my fair share of reality TV and I'd never say never to anything but I'm not a dancer, at all.' Jake Brown 9 After winning series three of BBC smash The Traitors, Jake, 26, is set to put his best foot forward in the race for the Glitter Ball later this year. The Sun recently told how bosses are eyeing Jake up after waiving their 'no reality star' rule. A source told us: "Strictly bosses think Jake would be the perfect fit for this year's line-up."He's a good guy, as viewers saw by his journey on The Traitors, so he will be popular with the fanbase and they love to cross-promote with other huge BBC shows." Balvinder Sopal 9 Actress Balvinder, 46, has become a firm soap favourite since joining EastEnders as Suki Panesar in 2020. EastEnders stars have historically done very well on Strictly and The Sun recently told how Balvinder is set to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Jamie Borthwick, Kellie Bright and Jake Wood. A source said: 'EastEnders has been a happy hunting ground for Strictly bosses since the show first aired and they believe Balvinder will be a huge hit with fans. 'She's excited by the prospect, too, as she feels viewers will see a different side to her.' Sir Mo Farah Iconic Olympian Mo, 42, is no stranger to winning after receiving four gold medals during his career. He might be quick on his feet but there's no doubt the Quickstep will be a new challenge for Mo. And he's had already had a taste of reality TV, after coming fifth in I'm A Celebrity in 2020 when it filmed in Wales because of Covid. Earlier this year he was unveiled as Giant Joel on The Masked Singer. Angellica Bell Presenter Angellica, 49, has been entertaining the nation since joining CBBC in 2000. Since then she's enjoyed a successful broadcasting career and in 2017 she won Celebrity MasterChef. After her stint in the Celebrity Big Brother house earlier this year, Angellica is now in talks to show off what she can do on the Strictly dancefloor. Ellie Goldstein Essex-born Ellie is the first contestant with Down syndrome to take part in a full Strictly series, after CBeebies presenter George Webster performed in the 2022 Christmas special. The model's parents were told she would never be able to walk or talk after she was born, but she has defied the odds. Ellie began modelling as a teen and has worked with global brands including Victoria's Secret, Adidas and Gucci. In 2023 she became the first model with Down syndrome to grace the cover of British Vogue and was honoured with her own Barbie doll which is now sold worldwide.
