National seminar begins at GGU charts roadmap

Rajamahendravaram: A two-day National Seminar on 'Leveraging Research and Innovation for Viksit Bharat@2047' began at the Godavari Global University (GGU), with participation from scientists, academicians, industry leaders, and students from across India. The event, held in collaboration with the Central and State governments, aims at aligning India's education and innovation ecosystem with the national vision of becoming a developed nation by 2047. Member of NITI Aayog Padma Bhushan Dr VK Saraswat inaugurated the seminar and delivered the keynote address. He called for collective efforts from educational institutions and entrepreneurs to advance the Atmanirbhar Bharat mission. Dr Saraswat explained major government initiatives such as PM Kaushal Vikas Yojana, Startup India, Atal Innovation Mission, and the National Innovation and Startup Policy, all geared toward empowering youth and promoting innovation. GGU Chancellor KVV Satyanarayana Raju expressed optimism about India's developmental trajectory, while Pro-Chancellor K Sasi Kiran Varma described Atmanirbhar Bharat as the mission and Viksit Bharat as the ultimate vision. AICTE Vice-Chairman Dr Abhay Jere stressed the need for strong research ecosystems in higher education institutions. AMTZ CEO Dr Jitendra Kumar Sharma underscored the importance of observation and curiosity in driving innovation. The seminar features sessions on emerging technologies, sustainability, and the commercialisation of research. It will conclude tomorrow with thematic discussions on achieving the Viksit Bharat vision.

NITI Aayog Member V.K. Saraswat on Saturday appealed to the research scholars, academic institutions and entrepreneurs to play a key role in building a self-reliant India as the Centre has increased spending on Research and Development to over ₹1.27 lakh crore under the mission Viksit Bharat-2047. Mr. Saraswat has delivered a keynote address during the inaugural session of the two-day national seminar on 'Leveraging Research and Innovation for Viksit Bharat@2047' at Godavari Global University here on Saturday. Mr. Saraswat has stated; 'Viksit Bharat-2047 is not just a dream, but it is a shared responsibility of every India'. In his address, Vice Chairman of All India Council of Technical Education Abhay Jere has observed that research and innovation are keys to transforming India into a knowledge economy through higher education institutions.

Vijayawada: The Hans India Technical Education Awards-2025 presentation programme held at Sidhartha Engineering College in Vijayawada is a nice programme and students should be involved in the programme to promote them, observed Godavari Global University Registrar Dr PMMS Sarma. Speaking to Hans India, the registrar said such awards presentation programmes will inspire students in a big way. Sharing his opinion, Deputy Director of Admissions of the same University described the programme as an innovative programme. He said the Godavari Global University has collaboration with several international companies which helps students to acquire skills as per industry needs and to get good placements. Dr Kishore Kumar of Annamacharya University of Rajampet opined that such programmes will help students to get information at one centre. He said the awards presentation also ignite the spirit of students to acquire knowledge as per demand. QIS College of Engineering and technology, Ongole, Dean Academic Dr R Satya Meher opined that the Hans India awards presentation is very good and students should be involved as it will help students in a big way.

GGU students present papers at int'l summit

Rajamahendravaram: Engineering and Computer Science first-year students from Godavari Global University (GGU) earned praise for presenting research papers at the English Language Teaching Summit – 2025, an international online conference held on May 23 and 24. GGU Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr KVB Raju announced the achievement, noting the university's active involvement in global academic platforms. The summit was jointly organised by the International Society for Educational Leadership (ISEL – USA, Australia, and India) and MIT Art, Design and Technology University, Pune, with support from Cambridge University Press and Assessment (UK). Themed 'English Language Teaching in the Age of AI', the event featured participants from across the globe. GGU students K Yashwanth Reddy, M Snehith Babu, Harsh Srivastava, and Manish presented analytical papers during the summit. Their work drew appreciation for its depth and insight. Prof Aditi Abhisikta from GGU's English department served as the chairperson for the student paper presentation session. She stated that the participating scholars and experts at the summit commended the students for their analytical skills and hard work.
