LuLu celebrates ‘India Utsav 2025'
Muscat: LuLu Oman launched 'India Utsav' 2025 to celebrate and promote the rich and diverse culture, heritage, traditions and flavors of India in Oman. The week-long festival was launched to coincide with the 78th Independence Day of India. The festival was inaugurated by H.E. Shri Godavarthi Venkata Srinivas, Ambassador of India to the Sultanate of Oman, on the 13th of August in the presence of a host of officials from the Indian community and Lulu dignitaries. The festival will be held till 20th of August at select Lulu outlets across the Sultanate. The festival, which is a kaleidoscope of culture, colours and cuisines of India, will provide customers a unique opportunity to experience Indian extravaganza in every category from lifestyle and fashion to food and drinks. There will also be amazing promotions and offers on a wide range of Indian products on display. Special stalls will be set up to familiarize and promote regional cuisines and snacks to people all over the world. Speaking at the launch, Mr. Anwar Sadhath, Regional Director of Lulu Hypermarkets - Oman, stated, 'This festival is part of Lulu's initiative to strengthen the cultural relations between Oman and India. It will offer local residents and expatriates a taste of India's dynamic cuisines and a window to its vibrant traditions. Shoppers will find an extensive range of authentic Indian grocery products, everyday household essentials, and humble yet much-loved brands from across India, from staple grains, spices, and pickles to traditional products and kitchenware, bringing the essence of Indian homes right into their baskets. To complement the experience, the festival also features authentic Indian apparel, exquisite clothing collections, and traditionally intricate jewelry, adding a fashionable touch to a wholesome Indian shopping journey.' 'We are glad to organize 'India Utsav' every year. Above all, we hope, this event would lay the foundations for a new dynamic relationship between the two countries for the future.' he added. Shoppers can also experience the genuine flavors of India in a variety of dishes that describe the authenticity and rich history of India. There will be special stalls for customers to savor a selection of melt-in-the-mouth Indian sweets and snacks.

Sayyid Shihab receives Indian Ambassador
Muscat: HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, received at his office in Al Murtafa'a Camp on Wednesday Godavarthi Venkata Srinivas, Ambassador of the Republic of India to the Sultanate of Oman. The meeting reviewed relations between the two friendly countries and discussed a number of topics of mutual interest.

Physiotherapy and rehabilitation centre at Badr Al Samaa Royal Hospital inaugrated
Badr Al Samaa Royal Hospital, , the flagship premium venture of Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals proudly announces the inauguration of its new Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Centre, a modern facility dedicated to providing comprehensive care for patients recovering from surgery, managing chronic pain, and overcoming sports-related injuries. The centre was inaugurated by His Excellency Shri Godavarthi Venkata Srinivas, honourable ambassador of India to Oman. The event was attended by Managing Directors of Badr Al Samaa Group, Dr. P A Mohamed and Abdul Latheef, who is also the board member of Oman Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Executive Director, Moiden Bilal, Senior Management of Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals and various dignitaries from public and private sector. In his welcome note Mr. Abdul Latheef said that the new centre is equipped with cutting-edge technology and a multidisciplinary team of five physiotherapists, rehabilitation experts, and pain management specialists whose focus is on restoring mobility, faster recovery after surgery and enhancing quality of life through personalized treatment programs. Dr. P A Mohamed, speaking on the occasion said that Badr Al Samaa Royal Hospital was established with the vision of ensuring majority of advanced treatments are available here in Oman. He said, 'We got the most advanced technology, medical experts and well experienced team for the ultimate benefit of patients'. His Excellency Shri Godavarthi Venkata Srinivas appreciated and acknowledged the long journey of Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals and its untiring desire of improving and advancing the standards in private healthcare. He said such additions in services and facilities reflect the long-term vision of the group. He appreciated the infrastructure, clinical expertise and technology of Badr Al Samaa Royal Hospital. Dr. Rajagopal T Naganathan, Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon gave the overview of the Physiotherapy & rehabilitation Centre and explained briefly about all the modalities available in the department. Physiotherapists Jesikala and Shine Thomas shared the information upcoming modalities in centre like Repetitive Peripheral Magnetic Nerve Stimulation (rPMS), Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT) and Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT), which will be first of its kind modality in private healthcare sector in Oman. In his thank you note, Moiden Bilal said that Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals strives to add newer facilities, services, expertise to ensure the availability of the best in the class medical services. He said that there will be further expansion of the physiotherapy and rehabilitation centre and the group aims at adding more modalities. Firasath Hassan, Executive Director said that the centre is an important step in our mission to offer holistic recovery services. He said some of the modalities in the centre are very unique which has potential to ensure faster recoveries especially in post-surgical and sports injury patients.
