Peyton Manning's viral golf moment left Scottie Scheffler laughing and Eli mocking
Peyton Manning's viral golf moment left Scottie Scheffler laughing and Eli mocking Four! Four! Peyton Manning was paired with Scottie Scheffler at the Golden Bear Pro-Am in Ohio last week, and the former quarterback had an embarrassing moment on one of his tee shots. Soon after Manning struck the ball in a now-viral video, he said, "Four! Four!" Immediately after that, there's a loud crashing sound. His shot apparently hit a house. Scheffler couldn't help but laugh. Peyton's brother, Eli Manning, saw the video on social media and offered a sarcastic tweet: "I'm so proud!!" This isn't the first time Manning has gone viral for a mishap on the golf course. Last summer, Manning topped his opening tee shot at the BMW Championship pro-am in Castle Pines. After his shot went about 15 yards, the good-natured Manning asked the crowd, "Anyone see where that went?" He's a five-time NFL MVP and a two-time Super Bowl champion, but Manning's clearly still working on his golf game. Everyone's human. Related: These 25 celebrities are Broncos fans.

Scottie Scheffler couldn't contain himself after Peyton Manning's tee shot struck house
Peyton Manning wasn't always this inaccurate. During Workday's Golden Bear Pro-Am event during the Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Ohio, the NFL legend's tee shot on the first hole veered way off course — so off course that Manning's ball struck a nearby house. Scottie Scheffler, the world's No. 1 golfer according to the PGA rankings, witnessed the ordeal and couldn't contain his laughter as a result of the incident. Advertisement In the video, Manning is seen shouting 'Fore!' multiple times before the ball makes contact with the house with a loud bang, prompting Scheffler to keel over in laughter. Scheffler was heard saying, 'Good morning, sir,' as Manning backed up from the tee, laughing at his dubious swing. Advertisement Scheffler, 28, placed fourth overall in The Masters in April and ended up winning his third major championship title after shooting 11-under at the 2025 PGA Championship at Quail Hollow Club earlier this month. Colts legend Peyton Manning tees off, hits a house. Watch Scottie Scheffler's reaction
Peyton Manning gave three-time major champion Scottie Scheffler a good laugh after Manning's tee shot hit a house on May 28. The Indianapolis Colts legend was paired with Scheffler in the Golden Bear Pro-Am ahead of the Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio. Manning's tee shot didn't exactly go where it was supposed to. In a video, Manning immediately shouts, "fore, fore!" A bang can be heard off-screen. That noise was Manning's ball hitting a house. Scheffler, who won the 2025 PGA Championship earlier in the month, doubled over laughing.

Scottie Scheffler lost it when Peyton Manning drilled a house with his tee shot
Scottie Scheffler lost it when Peyton Manning drilled a house with his tee shot Scottie Scheffler and Peyton Manning are two of the greatest athletes of all time at their respective sports, but it doesn't seem that those skills necessarily translate across sports. The three-time major champion and NFL Hall of Famer were paired up in the Golden Bear Pro-Am on Wednesday ahead of this weekend's Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio, and Manning's performance more closely resembled a casual player at the municipal course than the reigning PGA champion he was paired with. One of Manning's tee shots went particularly viral for all the wrong reasons. In the video, Manning shouts "Fore!" immediately after making contact, which is quickly followed by a loud crashing sound. His errant shot struck a house, much to the enjoyment of Scheffler, who doubled over laughing. Manning was a good sport about it, though, jokingly shouting "Good morning, sir!" to the homeowner. "That's too much," Scheffler said. Don't worry, Peyton. We've all been there. That is, except for the part where the No. 1-ranked golfer in the world was looking over our shoulders when we shanked a tee shot.

Xander Schauffele Settles Driver Test Debate with 'Cork Bat' Analogy
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. World No. 3 Xander Schauffele was one of the players who opened up about the whole driver debate at the PGA Championship. He continued that conversation this week at The Memorial Tournament, a PGA Tour Signature Event. At Quail Hollow, news leaked that the USGA deemed Rory McIlroy's driver illegal, and he had to change it ahead of the tournament. After that went public, he did not speak with the media for the rest of the week, but Schauffele did plenty of talking. The two-time major winner went to bat for McIlroy at Quail Hollow. He also hinted that McIlroy was not the only player with a 'hot' driver that week. World No. 1 and eventual PGA Championship winner, Scottie Scheffler, also had to switch his big stick before the second major. "It really is normal. I didn't even understand sort of the public's negative opinion on it," Schauffele said from Muirfield Village, host venue of The Memorial. "We don't know when the line — we have no clue. Unless our driver physically cracks and you start hitting these knuckle balls off the tee that disperse everywhere, then you know your driver's broken." More Photo by"It's not like a cork bat," he explained. "That's just not how golf works. You either swing and hit it hard or you don't." It is not like players can make a driver hot like people can do with baseball bats. Corked bats are modified bats filled with illegal material to help the ball travel farther. These bats are controversial because they can give players an advantage, and Major League Baseball banned them. Schauffele explained that it isn't nearly as easy to identify in golf. "When a guy has a cork bat in baseball, it's, like, a big no-no," Schauffele noted. "You know what I mean? And in golf, too, when a driver creeps, you shouldn't be able to play it. But at the same time, it's not quite the same thing." "The trickiest part is that no driver and no shaft is the same," Schauffele noted. "They can have the same writing and logos on them, but the makeup of each head and shaft is slightly different. No club is the same. As soon as you make us change, there's a bit of a grace period where you have to get used to it." In typical Schauffele fashion, the 31-year-old was pretty blunt about the whole topic. "I thought it was kind of crazy when you test thirty guys, and the other 120 get to roam around - it's kind of weird." Xander Schauffele weighs in on driver testing ahead of the Memorial Tournament ⛳️ #PGATour 📺 — Niall McGrath (@niallmcgrath4) May 29, 2025 "Do I think any guy is out here is like, 'Oh, I have a hot driver. Like, I'm going to hit it a mile this week?' No. This is my driver that I've been hitting for a year, and I love it, and no, I don't want to switch. I think that's more the attitude. And yeah, I thought it was crazy when you test 30 guys, and there are 120 who get to roam around. It's weird." Schauffele knows it can be challenging to make the change during a major week, and his comments show that the heat McIlroy received was unwarranted. At the same time, there is not a lot of information out there on illegal drivers. Many speculated about it and continue to, but the 9-time PGA Tour winner set the record straight.
