Mobile mental wellness drive for women

BOPHELONG.– The Golden Delight Foundation has launched #FFOK – Far From OK, a mobile mental wellness campaign to reach women in South Africa's most underserved communities. With over 27% of South Africans living with depression – many of them women and mothers, the Foundation says too many remain far from the help they need. The first activation takes place, tomorrow, on August 16 at Bophelong Community Centre, with more rollouts planned nationwide. 'Far From OK is not where we want our mothers to stay,' said Trisha Chetty, Marketing Manager at Golden Delight. 'It's the start of a journey from pain to possibility, from isolation to support, from being unseen to being heard.' At the heart of this campaign is a mobile wellness initiative designed to bring real mental health care directly to communities. The campaign aims to honour women not only as survivors of difficult circumstances but as agents of their healing. Rooted in emotional justice, equity, and dignity, #FFOK is a movement that refuses to leave women behind. The #FFOK campaign will bring: • Mobile clinics offering counselling, trauma support, and mental health screenings. • Nutritional and emotional care through food parcels, childcare resources, and safe spaces. • Community support networks with local leaders, healers, nurses, and educators. Follow #FFOK on Instagram @goldendelightza, Facebook @goldendelight and TikTok @goldendelightsa, or call Sibongile Gangxa on 072 324 390 for more information.
