Police are investigating a deadly road rage encounter that happened late Friday night near Highway 100 in Golden Valley.
According to Golden Valley Police Department, the "road rage incident" happened around 11:50 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 100 and Duluth Street, leaving a "male victim" dead and multiple suspects in custody.
The victim, nor the suspects, have been identified.
According to Hennepin County Jail records, a 40-year-old Mounds View woman was arrested by Golden Valley police and booked into the jail early Saturday morning on suspicion of criminal vehicular homicide. It's unclear if that individual is connected to the road rage incident.
Police say everyone involved in the incident, "including witnesses and suspects," were transported to North Memorial Hospital for evaluation and treatment as needed."
"Preliminary findings confirm the incident originated as a road rage altercation on Hwy 100 and escalated on Duluth St just east of Hwy 100," Golden Valley PD said in a release.
"The GVPD is reviewing evidence, including witness statements and surveillance footage, and has identified all involved parties. The suspects remain in custody, and the GVPD says there are no ongoing safety concerns related to this incident."
