The Innovative Architecture of Goldwin 0's Debut Performance Capsule
Goldwin 0, the Japanese brand's future-facing design project, is stretching into new territory with its latest launch. Debuting the Performance Capsule for SS25, the team led byNur AbbasandGoldwin's techlabused heatmapping technology to craft a functional yet eye-catching design system. The team underwent meticulous testing, identifying areas of the body most exposed to sunlight and zones that generate excess moisture. Using this data, the construction of each garment was mapped accordingly. From afar, the pieces are unsuspecting, but up close, the unique architecture of each piece becomes apparent in various circular and curvilinear cutouts and light bouncing reflectives. Fabricated in stone-hued colorways and fast-drying materials, the five pieces have a quietly futuristic sensibility. Inspired by the rich tradition of trail running in Japan, a reimagined Goldwin Star Trail Pack is the collection highlight, featuring 26 ventilation holes and front compartments for easy access. Breathable compression shorts enhance the running focus of the capsule, as well as waterproof ripstop shorts, featuring unique scalloped detail. For tops, Goldwin 0 offers short-sleeved and long-sleeved tees, boasting a unique circular ventilation system. Founded in 1954, Goldwin's affinity for advanced design finds its roots in the brand's long history of materials research, showcased in recent collections like the Goldwin Paper Fiber collection — combining a crisp abaca-based textile and KODENSHI finishes. With the introduction of the Performance Capsule, the brand only strengthens its established ethos of innovation. Shop the collection now at the officialGoldwin web store.

Goldwin's SS25 Paper Fiber Collection Is Ready to Beat the Heat
Goldwin's SS25 collection introduces an assortment of 'Paper Fiber' garments that blend ancient technology with recent textile innovations to deliver a cool, comfort-focused summer line. Marking the latest expression of the brand's recovery-focused Re-Optimum concept, the line uses a high-performance finish called KODENSHI®, and Manila hemp (abaca) fibers, known for their cooling properties. Used for shirts, jackets, trousers, and shorts, the paper yarn boasts a cool and dry touch, ideal for the hot and humid weather of the Summer. In addition to everyday essentials like neutral lounge sets, the collection also showcases elevated styles, including a brown checked shirt and a solid brown two-piece day suit. For lightweight layering, the collection also includes a beige zip-up jacket boasting a discreet Goldwin emblem near the collar. Finally, the collection is topped off with various Paper Fiber socks, the brand's first paper yarn product, touted for its dry and comfortable wear throughout the day. In its origins in the Philippines, Manila hemp has been used by Indigenous Filipinos for centuries to craft heat-friendly clothing for the archipelago's tropical climate. However, Goldwin incorporates the Pacific fiber into its future-facing designs with KODENSHI®, which embeds ultra-fine ceramic particles into fibers to absorb and reflect far-infrared radiation emitted by the human body. Developed in collaboration with Dr. Norinaga Shimizu of Osaka Prefecture University, with over 30 years of research in environmental adaptation and sleep science, the process facilitates body temperature regulation and promotes relaxation. The Goldwin SS25 Paper Fiber Collection is available now at theGoldwin Japan web storeand select retailers.
