Neena Gupta once recalled Vivian Richards' reaction to her pregnancy: 'If you don't want this child then...'
From powerful performance in 'Metro In Dino' to winning hearts in 'Panchayat Season 4', is truly having a golden run. But while her career is shining, she's also known for being brutally honest about her personal life. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now The 'Badhaai Ho' actress has never shied away from speaking about her past, no matter how unconventional it may have seemed at the time. One such chapter in her life was her relationship with legendary West Indies cricketer . Neena once opened up about the moment she told him she was pregnant, and how he responded. Vivian's support meant everything to her In a past chat with Humans of Bombay, the 'Uunchai' actress shared how she broke the news to Vivian during a phone call. She was upfront about her situation and offered him the choice to step away if he didn't want the responsibility. She explained, 'I was not very giddy with joy. I was happy because I loved him. I called him and asked him that if you don't want this child then I won't have it. He said, 'No no I would love for you to have this child'. ' Facing judgement from those around her Back then, having a child outside marriage was still taboo in many circles. Neena revealed that everyone around her was against the idea of raising a child alone. Her father, too, wasn't in favour of the decision at first, but time helped change his mind, 'Everyone told me, 'No, no, no how can you do it alone?' because he was already married and I couldn't marry him and go to Antigua to live there.' She didn't let the negative voices stop her. Like many people in love, she followed her heart, even when others thought she was making a mistake. Neena says, 'Jawani mein you are blind' Looking back, Neena knows that love in your younger years often makes you ignore advice and warnings. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now She admits,'But what happens is jawani mein you are blind. (You are blind in your youth) When you are in love, you don't listen to anybody. No children will listen to their parents and I was the same.' Neena's unique take on love In the same interview, Neena spoke openly about how she views love between a man and a woman. According to her, 'I don't think there is anything called love between a man and a woman. It starts with lust and then If you get along, you become affectionate to each other and then, it becomes a habit. The only love that I have felt is for Masaba. I don't know what other people might have felt, but mujhe nahi love samajh mein aata (I don't understand love). ' Her daughter Masaba is her world The 'Goodbye' actress further explained that the only form of love she truly believes in is the one she feels for her daughter Masaba, 'Ye sab wo lust hota hai shuru me, uske baad (there is lust in the beginning, but after that) it can take any direction, you marry or you go to somebody else. It's only with a child that I feel that love, that I can do anything for her. For my husband I will do, I do a lot, but I will not do anything for him like I will do for Masaba. ' Life after Vivian Richards While Neena and Vivian Richards never got married, their relationship during the late 1980s was an important part of her life. She made the bold choice to become a single mother and raise Masaba on her own. Years later, in 2008, Neena got married to Vivek Mehta, a chartered accountant based in Delhi.

Order Up: ‘The Bear' Renewed for Season 5 by FX
The final episode of The Bear's fourth season is titled 'Goodbye,' but it won't be a permanent one. FX has ordered a fifth season of the Emmy-winning series, with the renewal coming less than a week after The Bear's fourth season premiered on June 25. As with previous seasons, the series will stream on Hulu. Season five is due sometime in 2026. 'Year-in and year-out, [creator] Chris Storer, the producers, cast and crew make The Bear one of the best shows on television, and we are excited that they will continue to tell this magnificent story.' FX and Hulu have not released any viewing figures for season four. Past seasons have performed well, however: Season three spent six weeks on Nielsen's streaming top 10 charts — a fairly long time for a binge release — and racked up about 4.5 billion viewing minutes in that span. The current season, which filmed back-to-back with season three, finds Carmy (Jeremy Allen White), Sydney (Ayo Edebiri), Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) and the rest of the staff at The Bear trying to push the restaurant forward — while a ticking clock reminds everyone just how long they have before they run out of money. Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas and Matty Matheson also star, with Oliver Platt and Molly Gordon playing recurring roles. Series creator Christopher Storer executive produces with Josh Senior, Joanna Calo, Cooper Wehde, Tyson Bidner, Matty Matheson, Hiro Murai and Rene Gube. Courtney Storer is co-EP and culinary producer. FX Productions is the studio. The Bear grows up
A progression on almost all fronts, The Bear 's fourth season moves away from its early years of chefs engaging in shouting matches over trivial matters and having their issues simmer unnecessarily long in the pot, as show creator Christopher Storer finally moves the series and its characters towards an overdue adult form. Following the mixed review by The Chicago Tribune, The Bear's crew find their existing problem of keeping the business afloat being made harder after investor Jimmy Kalinowski (Oliver Platt) gives them a two-month deadline to turn the business around or face being shut down due to operational costs exceeding generated revenue. With a literal timer counting down in the restaurant's back of house, Carmen Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White) and Sydney Adamu (Ayo Edebiri) hedge their bets on saving The Bear by not only tightening the operation and menu, but also by chasing their first Michelin star. Back to basics The Bear 's fourth outing fixes a lot of the problems from the third season. It is hard to say whether Storer intentionally went overboard with certain ingredients when he cooked up the previous season just so he could pivot and save the meal with the fourth season. The excessive amount of the comedy from the Fak family, along with the distracting cameos by Hollywood A-listers have been dialled back. Instead of having them in every single episode, Storer – more or less – shoves them into the seventh episode Bears. However, rather than being bogged down by the cameos, Bears quickly positions itself as the one of the best episodes of the season for an entirely different reason: character development. It also serves as a turning point for the series, with subsequent episodes also serving as vehicles to develop not just Carmen, but also co-main leads Sydney and Richard Jerimovich (Ebon Moss-Bachrach). These episodes – Bears, Tonnato and Goodbye – are critical in not only expanding Carmen, Sydney and Richard's characters beyond who they were for the past three seasons, but they will play a role in the actors' oeuvre as their strongest performances to date, especially for the next Emmy Awards. Risky ending However, it is not all smooth sailing for the season, as The Bear ends the season with Goodbye, an episode that will no doubt be the most divisive among fans and critics. Initially, there was no word on whether FX would renew their mega hit comedy-drama for a fifth season. It seemed as though The Bear was over for good, with Goodbye seeing its three main leads arguing in an alley before abruptly ending without a sense of closure. Thankfully, a week after the fourth season was released in bulk, FX announced a fifth season would be coming next year. If this season had turned out to be the last for The Bear, with Goodbye being the series finale, it would have left a sour taste in most viewers' mouths and gone down in television history as one of the most divisive endings ever.

Rainn Wilson said that the office became 'chaotic' after Steve Carell left, says 'So that was also a struggle'
The Office nearly had a serious problem. On the June 19 episode of the Good Guys Podcast with Josh Peck and Ben Soffer, Rainn Wilson , who played Dwight Schrute on the renowned comedy series, discussed his time on The Office and how the cast and crew developed the tone over time. Wilson, 59, believes the series, which debuted in 2005, "fell into gear" midway through season 2. "If you watch season one, it is pretty dreary. It's quite dark. It is darkly illuminated. People don't wear any makeup. He stated the show, which was based on a prior British version, has nothing in common with American television. He even recalls that during the first season, before filming the script, the cast would imitate being in the office and doing their tasks for a half-hour in order to "sink" into the reality of the show's "documentary" format. In season 2, Wilson stated, "Steve [Carell] does his hair a little better." We're sporting a little finer suits. The lighting on the stage makes it feel a little warmer. It's filmed a little kinder. And it helped a lot." "The show changed and just became a little bit warmer and a little more human," he told me. A huge aspect, he noted, was exposing that Carell's Michael Scott had "a big heart." Wilson responded: "He's a doofus, and he says he always says the wrong thing, but, you know, he's a lovable guy." by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Worst Home Items That People Own, Ranked CleverClassic Undo But because Carell, 62, was such an important part of the program, when he decided to depart during season 7 (his last episode was "Goodbye, Michael,' which aired in April 2011), Wilson said things were difficult. "When Steve left, then it was a little bit chaotic of trying to figure out the tone of the show and who's the lead and how are we telling these stories without the comic engine of the show, which is Michael Scott, and without one of the greatest comic actors in American history at the centre of our show," Wilson recalled." "So that was also a struggle." The podcast hosts wondered if it was a "gut punch" to learn Carell was leaving. "We knew it was coming for a long time," Wilson recalled, noting that Carell was "such a big movie star." Just months following the launch of The Office, the actor starred in The 40-Year-Old Virgin, followed by Little Miss Sunshine, Dan in Real Life, Get Smart, Date Night, and Crazy Stupid Love. "Of course, he'll leave The Office whenever he can. So we were prepared, but it was absolutely difficult to find the tone of the show without Steve," Wilson explained. The series eventually ran for two more seasons without Carell, thanks in part to a number of guest performers, before concluding with season 9 in 2013. In 2023, Wilson admitted on a podcast that he "spent several years really mostly unhappy" on The Office. "I didn't enjoy it. I was thinking, "Why am I not a movie star?" Why amn't I the next Jack Black or Will Ferrell? Why can't I have a movie career? "Why don't I have this development deal?" he recalled. "When I was on The Office … I was making hundreds of thousands," claimed the actor. "I wanted millions. I was a television celebrity, but I aspired to be a film star. It has never been enough. Humans have been around for hundreds of thousands of years, and 'never enough' has helped us as a species."
