Goose & Cuckoo in Llanover receives five-star rating
The Goose & Cuckoo in Ancient Road, Llanover, was visited by a food safety officer on May 1.
At the time of inspection, the pub was found to have "good" standards of hygienic food handling, cleanliness and condition of facilities and building, and management of food safety.
This means that the pub has a good standard of hygienic food handling including preparation, cooking, and storage, and is clean and well-ventilated.
There are also good systems in place to ensure food safety.
The pub was recently named as one of the best pubs in Gwent to enjoy a pint in the sun by our readers, and is award-winning, having been named Gwent County winner at the National Pub and Bar Awards in April 2024 and Country Pub of the Year by CAMRA for Gwent in February of the same year.
The five star hygiene rating is a testament to the commitment and passion of the team at the Goose and Cuckoo Inn.
