Midlothian woman shares door camera footage as 'bad act' leaves locals outraged
The moment an honesty box in Midlothian was raided by a man with a 'distinctive' tattoo was caught on camera.
Katie's Box, which sits at the Toxside Farm entrance in Gorebridge, stocks home bakes and eggs which locals can pick up and leave donations or transfer money. On Sunday evening, the camera in the box captured a man taking 'everything'.
The individual, who has a unique tattoo on his hand, quickly grabs the items before driving off. Katie told Edinburgh Live it is the second time it has happened in the last month.

Despite the incident, she said the 'good outweighs the bad'. The incident happened at around 8.55pm on May 4.
Speaking to Edinburgh Live, Katie said: "There was all the cakes and the money tin taken.

"Really hope he's seen the post and he stops. This is the second time it's happened in the last month, obviously I don't know if both were the same person as I just installed a camera last week.
"I'm just glad that the good outweighs the bad."
After sharing the clip on the Katie's Box Facebook page, locals were quick to comment with outrage.
One said: "Always the case isn't it. The few that spoil it for the rest."

Police Scotland has been approached for comment.
