Wexford sports club celebrating as lotto jackpot of €12,000 is won by local couple
David Swaine, Club President of Gorey RFC congratulated the lucky family on their successful win. 'Tom, a proud former Gorey RFC stalwart, and his family have scooped the fantastic prize of €12,000.
'We couldn't be happier to see this amazing win go to such long-standing supporters of the club,' David said.
Tom and Annette won the jackpot on Monday, June 30 with the lucky numbers: 7, 9, 12, and 18.
'The Gorey RFC RUGGO Lotto has been running for many years and plays a vital role in supporting the ongoing development of our club. The funds raised help us improve facilities not just for our players and members, but for the entire Gorey community,' David said.
David further said the RUGGO Lotto has led to positive progress on improving facilities and amenities at Gorey RFC for club members and the wider community. He shared some of the contributions of RUGGO have helped make possible including construction of new dressing rooms for both male and female teams. 'A brand-new walking track soon to begin construction – open to all club members and the wider Gorey community.
'An upgrade to our floodlights, giving us two match-grade lit pitches so teams can train and play under lights,' David added.
David thanked the Gorey community for their continued support with the lotto draw. 'We extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who supports the monthly draw. Your contribution is helping us grow and give back to Gorey in meaningful ways.'
