NEET-UG 2025 Conducted Peacefully Across District: Collector BM Santosh.
Gadwal: The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2025 was conducted peacefully across the district on Sunday, according to District Collector B.M. Santosh. The prestigious national-level examination took place at three centers: Government Boys High School, Government Girls High School, and Government Junior College in the district headquarters. In a surprise inspection, Collector B.M. Santosh, accompanied by District Superintendent of Police (SP) Srinivasa Rao, visited the examination centers to oversee the arrangements and ensure the smooth conduct of the exam. During their visit, they reviewed the functioning of the centers, enquired about candidate attendance, and took feedback from the officials on duty. The Collector carefully examined whether the guidelines issued by the authorities were being strictly followed. He gave specific instructions to the staff regarding the orderly conduct of the examination. Emphasis was placed on adhering to the NEET examination protocols, especially the ban on electronic devices such as mobile phones and the need to prevent any malpractice. He instructed the officials to ensure the availability of drinking water for the students and maintain a conducive and calm environment throughout the duration of the exam. The Collector confirmed that no untoward incidents were reported at any of the centers. Out of the total 1,029 registered candidates in the district, 1,005 appeared for the exam, while 24 were absent. The Collector expressed satisfaction with the way the exam was managed in all three centers, stating that the NEET-UG 2025 examination concluded in a peaceful and organized manner in the district. Coordinator Venkatesh, principals of the respective institutions, and other concerned officials were present and contributed to the successful execution of the event.

District Collector Orders Foolproof Arrangements for NEET UG 2025 Examination
Gadwal: To ensure the smooth and error-free conduct of the NEET UG 2025 examination in the district, District Collector B.M. Santosh has directed officials to make all necessary arrangements without leaving any room for mistakes. A district-level coordination committee meeting regarding the NEET UG 2025 examination was held on Tuesday at the IDOC Conference Hall. Addressing the meeting, the Collector emphasized that the exam, scheduled to be held on May 4 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, must be conducted in a seamless manner ensuring that students face no inconvenience. Recalling the allegations raised during last year's examination, the Collector stressed the need for strict measures this year to avoid any shortcomings. He informed that the exam will be conducted at three government institutions in the district: the Government Boys High School, Government Girls High School, and the Government Junior College. A total of 1,029 candidates are expected to appear for the exam. Students will be allowed entry into the exam centers between 11:00 AM and 1:30 PM. Biometric verification of candidates will be conducted at the centers. He instructed that students must bring their admit cards along with a valid photo ID, and strictly warned against bringing electronic devices, mobile phones, wallets, or gold jewelry into the examination centers. The Collector further instructed that control rooms and CCTV cameras be set up at the centers, along with adequate security arrangements. He directed police officials to ensure safe transport of question papers from banks to exam centers and safe dispatch of answer sheet bundles to post offices after the exam. Additionally, first-aid centers should be set up at the examination centers with ORS packets and essential medicines readily available. He also emphasized the importance of uninterrupted power supply, instructing the electricity department to make the necessary arrangements in advance. The Municipal Commissioner was advised to ensure availability of clean drinking water, functional toilets, and proper sanitation at all exam centers. Key officials present at the meeting included SP Srinivasa Rao, DSP Mogalaya, DEO Abdul Ghani, Chief Superintendent Devender Reddy, Electricity Department EE Ramesh Babu, Municipal Commissioner Dasharath, school principals, bank officers, and other departmental officials.

PPP Secretary General Senator Taj Haider passes away at 83
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Central Secretary General and senior politician Senator Taj Haider passed away at the age of 83 after a brief illness. According to his family, the PPP leader was undergoing treatment at a local hospital. His janaza prayer will be held on Wednesday after Zuhrain prayers at Imbargah Yasrab in Phase IV DHA, Karachi. Taj Haider was born on March 8, 1942, in an academic family in Kota, Rajasthan. He received his early education from Government Boys High School, Ranchhor Line Karachi. He entered the field of fine arts and also wrote for television. He also played the role of Professor Audiwala in his drama serial "Abla Paa". He also wrote columns in various newspapers. Taj Haider attended the 1967 Socialist Convention and formally joined PPP in the same year. He was one of the founding members of the Party, who was also awarded the Sitara-e-Imtiaz for scientific services in 2012. In 2006, he was also awarded the 13th PTV Award for Best Drama Serial Writer. According to the family, the deceased had been undergoing treatment at a local hospital. PPP leader Waqar Mehdi expressed deep sorrow over his passing, saying, "He was a long-time companion and an outstanding political worker.

Born on March 8, 1942, in Kota, Rajasthan, Taj Haider belonged to a scholarly family and completed his early education at Government Boys High School in Ranchor Line, Karachi. In addition to his political career, Taj Haider was also active in the arts and media. He wrote for television and newspapers and played the role of Professor Audiwala in the TV drama Aabla Pa. He was a recipient of several accolades, including the Sitara-i-Imtiaz in 2012 for his contributions to science and the 13th PTV Award for Best Drama Serial Writer in 2006. Taj Haider became involved with the socialist movement in 1967 and officially joined the PPP the same year. He was one of the original members of the party, founded by Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah expressed his condolences, calling Taj Haider's death a deep loss for the party. 'Taj Haider was a wise, composed, and visionary political leader. He dedicated his life to democracy and public service,' Murad Ali Shah said. PPP leader Waqar Mehdi also paid tribute, stating, 'Taj Haider was a long-time comrade and a committed political worker. He was one of the party's foundational and ideological members. His services will not be forgotten.'
