Over 1 lakh people visit government exhibition at VOC grounds in Coimbatore
Over 1,12,000 people have visited the Government Exhibition at VOC Grounds in 17 days, including 91,432 adults and 20,775 children, as of Sunday, May 18, according to a release from the district administration.
The 45-day event began on May 1, and was inaugurated by Minister for Tamil Development, Information and Publicity M.P. Saminathan.
The exhibition features more than 33 stalls from various government departments. It aims to share information about government welfare schemes. Cultural programmes by different departments are also part of the event every day The district administration said the exhibition had earned ₹15,79,230 so far.
