Sabah Electricity welcomes new chairperson Saadiah Aziz

Published on: Sun, Aug 03, 2025 Text Size: KOTA KINABALU: Saadiah Aziz ( pic ) has been appointed as the new Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (Sabah Electricity) chairperson, effective July 31, takes over the role from Datuk Seri Wilfred Madius Tangau. Saadiah, 49, previously served as Khazanah Nasional Berhad Senior Vice President, bringing over 24 years of experience across sectors including project management, stakeholder engagement, and capital markets. She was part of the founding team behind the Government Linked Companies Transformation Programme (2005–2015) and contributed to several national-level initiatives during her 16-year tenure at Khazanah. Her earlier roles included positions at the Labuan Offshore Financial Services Authority and the Malaysian Rating Corporation Berhad. Saadiah holds two Master's degrees—in Strategic Management of Projects from University College London and in Financial Management from Glasgow Caledonian University—alongside a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, and completed an executive programme at London Business School.
