7 Mar 2025 17:48 DUBAI (ALETIHAD)His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, issued Executive Council Resolution No. (15) of 2025 appointing Dr. Rabaa Al Sumaiti as CEO of the Rashid and Latifa Schools resolution will be effective from the date of its issuance and will be published in the Official Gazette. Dr. Rabaa Al Sumaiti brings to the new role extensive experience in the educational sector, having held several prominent positions, including Assistant Undersecretary for the Performance Improvement Sector at the Ministry of Education, and Director General of the Emirates Schools Establishment. She also served as the official representative of the UAE on the Board of Trustees of the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and the General Assembly of the International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement (IEA).Dr. Rabaa Al Sumaiti holds a PhD in International Education Management from the British University in Dubai in partnership with the University of Birmingham, UK, and a Master's degree in Education from the University of Bristol in the UK. She is a graduate of the Dubai Government Programme for Young Leaders and the UAE Government Programme for Executive Leaders. The Rashid and Latifa Schools Establishment (RLSE), formed through the merger of the Rashid School for Boys (RSB) and Latifa School for Girls (LSG), aims to provide a transformative educational experience that transcends traditional methods, serving as an incubator for the future leaders of the nation.

Transportation Minister and Mumtalakat CEO Discuss Strategic Cooperation
Manama: Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, engaged in a meeting with Shaikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, CEO of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company (Mumtalakat) and Chairman of Beyon. The discussion centered on strategic cooperation aimed at advancing digital infrastructure projects, aligned with several national strategies and plans. According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting addressed methods to enhance collaboration in line with the Telecommunications, ICT, and Digital Economy Strategy (2022 – 2026), the Sixth National Telecommunications Plan, the Government Programme (2023-2026), and Bahrain Economic Vision 2030. These frameworks are pivotal in steering Bahrain's digital transformation and technological advancement. Minister Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed emphasized the ministry's dedication to fostering public-private partnerships as a means to modernize legislative, regulatory, and digital infrastructures. Bahrain: Online platform for vessel registration and licensing launched
Bahrain - The Transportation and Telecommunications Ministry has launched an online platform for small vessel registration and licensing. Transportation and Telecommunications Minister Dr Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa emphasised the ministry's commitment to digital transformation by delivering high-quality, efficient and competitive services. He noted that these efforts align with Bahrain's comprehensive development process under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The minister highlighted the platform's role in advancing government services as part of the ministry's digital transformation strategy for sustainable digital transformation, which is in line with the Government Programme (2023-2026) and Bahrain Economic Vision 2030. Undersecretary for Ports and Maritime Affairs Bader Hood Al Mahmood said that the platform offers services such as registration, licensing, renewals, and ownership transfers, serving over 25,000 users and 8,000 vessels while reducing processing time by up to 50 per cent. Users can access services via the e-key or national portal ( without visiting service centres. The platform includes QR code verification and is integrated with relevant authorities, including the Coastguard.
