1 student to be chosen as yoga ambassador from each school

Jaipur: To promote practising yoga in schools, the education department will identify one student from each school who perform the best on International Yoga Day. These students will be made Yoga ambassadors in their schools to further encourage other students and teachers to practise yoga throughout the year. Officials said that along with school staff, the ambassadors will encourage locals in villages to incorporate yoga into their lives. "The selected students will be given special training to learn yoga and become trainers. A child can learn fast and encourage more students to practise a healthy lifestyle, which will not only improve the health of students but also increase their concentration and grasping power," said a senior official from the education department. As part of yoga camps being organised across the city, JMC Greater mayor Somya Gurjar, along with sanitation workers, performed yoga at her residence Friday. The sanitation workers took a pledge to practise yoga for 15 minutes daily. At Hawa Mahal, traders and entrepreneurs also performed yoga Friday morning, despite rain showers. During the yoga session by traders along with the JMC-G mayor, who has been made yoga ambassador by the state govt, a message to include the 3Rs—Reduce, Reuse, Recycle—in daily lifestyle was given to the public. "Yoga is synonymous with discipline and an integral part of our ideology and culture, everyone should join the program on Yoga Day and add it to their daily routine," said Gurjar. On International Yoga Day Saturday, yoga programs will be organised at 13 places across Jaipur, including Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Galta Ji Temple, Jal Mahal, Hawa Mahal, Amer Fort, Govind Dev Ji Temple, Jaigarh, City Palace, Albert Hall, Central Park, Birla Mandir, Patrika Gate, and City Park.

Exploring 5 Astrological Significance Of Jaipur Ancient Temples

Jaipur represents the Pink City of India where people admire its combination of historical wonders alongside cultural traditions and sacred places. The ancient temples of this destination become significant due to their astrological and cosmic significance. These religious destinations function both as prayer destinations and continue to carry extensive Vedic astrological practices that stem from celestial and planetary alignments. This paper discusses Jaipur's significant temple sanctuaries by investigating their connection to astrology and the fundamental aspects of their historical development and religious nature. The Cosmic Blueprint of Jaipur An introduction to Jaipur's cosmological design framework is necessary before examining individual temples of the city. The city of Jaipur originated in 1727 as Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II laid out its structure in strict adherence to Vastu Shastra which stands as traditional Indian knowledge involving the fusion of architectural design and natural laws as well as cosmic principles. Jai Singh II both practiced astronomy as a professional and constructed Jantar Mantar observatory in Jaipur which demonstrates his advanced interest in astrological knowledge. The temples of Jaipur implement precise architectural elements and symbolic representation to display how natural cosmic energy weaves through human life patterns beyond earthly bodies. Many temples in Jaipur worship planetary deities (Navagrahas) and have specific features which devotees believe deliver divine energy needed for astrological remedies. 1. Govind Dev Ji Temple The Govind Dev Ji Temple stands as one of the preeminent temples in Jaipur which exists as a part of the City Palace complex. Lord Krishna receives devotion through this temple making it an essential pilgrimage stoppoint for Hindus. Devoted to Vishnu in his role as the universe conservator, this site serves mainly as a spiritual institution but also contains astrology-related meaning. Lord Krishna has an affiliation with the Vedic planetary deity Mercury (Budha) which is linked to intellect and communication and analytical abilities. Made up of devotees believe that worship at the Govind Dev Ji Temple provides relief from the impacts of inauspicious Mercury placements in horoscopes. The temple's placement in a royal palace serves as an astronomical symbol to represent the peaceful combination of royal power with religious devotion which helps maintain universal stability. 2. Moti Dungri Ganesh Ji Temple Tourists in Jaipur should visit the sacred Ganesh Ji Temple which stands proudly upon Moti Dungri hill. The temple of Lord Ganesha stands as a spiritual destination that welcomes numerous devotees each year because it honors the deity who both eliminates barriers and bestows teaching abilities. According to astrological principles Lord Ganesha corresponds to the Moon (Chandra) who affects human emotions while shaping mental health and decision choices. The temple stands at a higher elevation on the hilltop because locals believe such location strengthens positive spiritual energy which proves effective for rituals that counter negative planetary effects. People who worship at this sanctuary as a prelude to business initiatives search for favorable outcomes and impediment protection. Each year during Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations the temple reinforces its mission of unifying people as it leads spiritual growth in the community. 3. Birla Mandir (Laxmi Narayan Temple) The Birla Mandir also known as Laxmi Narayan Temple stands as a contemporary symbolic structure completely constructed from white marble. Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi have their sanctuaries combined within this temple to showcase the unification of holy faith with planetary knowledge. The temple equates Lord Vishnu to Jupiter (Guru) that controls expansion together with wisdom while linking Goddess Lakshmi to Venus (Shukra) who handles both wealth and material abundance as well as physical qualities. People who visit Birla Mandir perform prayers to the planets at this location when they require financial stability or academic success. Birla Mandir offers visitors a peaceful setting where Hindu mythological scenes carved into walls form together with the peaceful atmosphere to support meditation and introspection which helps people connect to cosmic forces. 4. Surya Mandir (Sun Temple) The Sun Temple (Surya Mandir) operates as a significant spiritual location in Jaipur which stands adjacent to Galta Ji near the city. The temple features Surya as its main deity despite its dedication to the Sun God although Surya is equivalent to Ravi in astrological terms. The Sun controls life force vitality and leadership as well as governing health. The act of Surya worship can boost faith and clear negative energy that arises from unpropitious solar astronomical movements. The temple directs its eastern position toward a daily sunrise that shines upon its sacred inner area to symbolize the spiritual power entering earthly reality. The Gayatri Mantra along with Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutation) practices enable visitors to obtain Sun-powered healing abilities at this location. 5. Galtaji Temple Galtaji resides in the Aravalli Hills as the Monkey Temple where temples form a temple complex. The religious complex of Galtaji serves Lord Hanuman and its Mars (Mangal) connection gives spiritual support to people dealing with aggressive behavior, dispute problems and accidents. The attributes Mars symbolizes such as strength and courage match exactly the qualities characterizing Hanuman. Visitors who come to Galtaji find spiritual cleansing through bathing in the sacred holy kinds since they believe these natural water tanks purify both physical cleanliness and inner purity. The idyllic natural environment of Jaipur together with its extensive panorama creates an ideal space for spiritual contemplation connected with cosmic energy. Conclusion A cluster of ancient temples in Jaipur represents the deep religious bond which exists between astrology and spirituality. The temples of Jaipur demonstrate their architectural excellence while functioning as points where celestial powers benefit people on Earth. People who visit temples in Jaipur discover a sublime experience that removes planetary afflictions alongside accessing sacred benedictions through the tranquil environment of these devotional places.
