Now, fans of the Ibrox club will have the chance to bid for his jersey from that day. However, whoever the successful bidder is will need to stump up some serious cash for the highly sought-after item. The No.7 jersey is estimated to go for between £15,000 - £20,000. The description of the kit on Graham Budd's website reads: "Tommy McLean rare blue No.7 Rangers v. Dynamo Moscow match worn European Cup Winners Cup Final long-sleeved shirt, 1972, Umbro, M with crew-neck collar and embroidered badge inscribed EUROPEAN CUP WINNERS CUP FINAL 1972. Read more: "The above shirt was worn Tommy McLean in the 1972 Cup Winners Cup against Dynamo Moscow. "Rangers finally recorded their first European Cup Winners final win in 1972 after two final defeats in 1961 and 1967. "In the run to the final Rangers saw of Rennes, Sporting Club, Torino and Bayern Munich and in the final match played on 24th May 1972 at the Nou Camp, before 35,000 spectators Rangers defeated Dynamo Moscow 3-2 with goals from Willie Johnstone and Colin Stein and the newly christened Barca Bears wrote their names into the annals of Rangers Football Club history."

Three historic Newcastle United shirts are up for auction today, drawing thousands of pounds for the highly-collectable memorabilia. The sporting items, dating back to 1952, 1927-28, and a 1976 League Cup Final shirt, are part of a four-day themed auction by Graham Budd Auctions. George Robledo's No 10 shirt, worn during the 1952 FA Cup final, is one of the key highlights. The shirt, which was previously owned by Robledo's daughter, Elizabeth, is expected to fetch between £7,000 and £10,000. The listing states it also comes with black Umbro shorts. The shirt, bearing the inscription 'League Champions Division 1 1926-27', has attracted a bid of £2,200. The shirt, which comes with a letter from the player's grandson, is estimated to sell for between £3,500 and £5,000. The short-sleeved black and white No. 4 shirt, also estimated to fetch between £2,500 and £3,500, has received a bid of £1,500. The match held on February 28 ended with City defeating United 2-1. The four-day auction, which takes place in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, includes the Jack Jennings Collection, Olympic torches, medals and trophies, classic, vintage, and modern shirts, programmes, bound volumes, and much more.
