Work begins on Wigan shopping centre entertainment venue

Swatch confirms opening date for new Cardiff store The Swiss brand has officially confirmed when it will be opening it's flagship Welsh store Popular watch shop, Swatch, is set to open its doors in St David's Centre in Cardiff next month (Image: Rahaf Ali ) Global watch brand Swatch is making a timely return to the Welsh Capital, with the official opening of it's standalone store at St David's Shopping Centre set for Thursday, July 3. The addition of the Swiss watchmaker adds to the centre's eclectic line-up of premium timepiece brands and marks a homecoming of sorts for a name once familiar to local shoppers. Located on the lower level of the Grand Arcade - opposite Goldsmiths, in the unit formally occupied by Typo - the Swatch store will once again offer watch lovers, access to the brand's vibrate collections. It follows the recent openings of Knoops, Sostrene Grene and Pull & Bear, with major names like Mango and Sephora also preparing to open later this year. A spokesperson from St David's Centre previously told WalesOnline: "It's fantastic to welcome the return of the Swatch store to St David's and to Wales, further enhancing our strong line-up of watch and jewellery brands."
