Vehicle accident involving an ambulance in Clifton; I-70B temporarily closes
CLIFTON, Colo. (KREX) — At around noon on Saturday, the Colorado State Patrol, Mesa County Sheriff's Office, Grand Junction Fire Department and other dispatched emergency resources responded to a vehicle accident involving a car and an ambulance at the intersection of I-70B and 32 Road in Clifton.
The ambulance was reportedly transporting a patient to a hospital at the time of the accident, who was later transferred to a different ambulance. No injuries caused by the accident have been reported.
The Westbound lanes of I-70B were temporarily closed as emergency personnel responded to the scene. MCSO assisted with traffic control until the lanes were safe to reopen.
No additional information about the incident is currently available and it remains under investigation by CSP.
