UPDATE: 11-year-old Jeana Rodriguez was found at around 8:54 p.m. on Sunday after the Texas Department of Public Safety issued a LOCAL Amber Alert to help find her. GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas (KETK) – The Texas Department of Public Safety has issued a LOCAL AMBER ALERT for Jeana Rodriguez, an 11-year-old Black girl who was last seen in Grand Prairie. Have you seen them? Texas children that have been missing, unidentified for over 45 years Jeana is described as an 11-year-old Black girl with brown eyes and brown hair who weighs around 95 pounds and is around 4'11'. She was last seen wearing a yellow shirt, pink shorts and brown boots near 1410 State Highway 161 in Grand Prairie at around 3 p.m. on Sunday. Motorcyclist dies fleeing Grand Prairie police; stolen bike and narcotics found
The Brief A motorcyclist died in Grand Prairie yesterday after crashing while fleeing police. The motorcycle was reported stolen, and suspected narcotics were found at the scene. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending family notification. GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas - The Grand Prairie Police Department is investigating a fatal accident that occurred yesterday on Friday, June 6. What we know At the 800 block of South Belt Line Road at approximately 4:00 p.m., a Grand Prairie Police Officer initiated a traffic stop of a Harley-Davidson motorcycle not displaying a license plate. As the officer was contacting the rider, he fled at a high rate of speed and was able to elude the officer. As the officer checked the area, he located the rider at South Belt Line and Wheat Hill Drive where the rider failed to negotiate a curve and crashed the motorcycle. The rider was transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased by medical staff. Officers determined that the Harley-Davidson motorcycle was stolen, and a quantity of suspected narcotics were also located with the motorcycle. What's next The identity of the deceased will be released by the Dallas Medical Examiner's Office once the next of kin is notified. This collision remains under investigation. Theft suspect killed after crashing stolen motorcycle in Grand Prairie
A theft suspect is dead after fleeing from a police stop and crashing a stolen motorcycle. The Grand Prairie Police Department is investigating the incident that occurred in the 800 block of South Belt Line Road on Friday, May 6. Around 4 p.m. Friday, an officer initiated a traffic stop of a Harley-Davidson motorcycle at Main Street and Belt Line Road for not displaying a license plate. The driver fled from the stop and managed to evade the officer. While still in the area, the officer who initiated the stop located the rider at South Belt Line and Wheat Hill Drive. Police say this is where the rider "failed to negotiate a curve and crashed the motorcycle." The rider was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released pending notification of the next of kin. Grand Prairie Police determined the motorcycle was stolen and located an unknown quantity of suspected narcotics. The incident remains under investigation.

Police chase ends in crash, kills one early Saturday, Grand Prairie cops say
One person was killed and a man was arrested after a police chase ended in a crash on eastbound Interstate 30 near Dallas early Saturday, Grand Prairie police said. Llonis Arevalo, 26, was charged with murder, evading arrest causing death, resisting arrest and collision involving death, police said. A patrolling officer had initially tried to stop Arevalo, who was driving a Chevrolet Camaro in the 1100 block of East Main Street in Grand Prairie, at around 1:45 a.m. Saturday, according to a statement. The officer saw Arevalo rapidly decelerating the vehicle and changing lanes in an attempt to evade police, officials said. The officer, believing the Camaro to have been stolen, initiated a traffic stop for a known violation, police said. After pulling into a parking lot, Arevalo fled as the officer began to get out of his cruiser. A pursuit onto eastbound Interstate 30 followed. The officer caught Arevalo in the median, where a 'prolonged struggle ensued' before backup officers arrived, police said. The driver of the stranded vehicle was seriously injured and was taken to a hospital, where they died, according to the statement. The Dallas County Medical Examiner's Office will identify the dead person once family has been notified. Arevalo is a 'documented gang member' who was out on bond for 11 felony counts at the time of the crash, police said. Grand Prairie police are leading the criminal investigation and the Dallas County Sheriff's Office is leading the crash investigation, according to the statement.
