Shipley residents invited to annual town meeting in May
Shipley residents are invited to celebrate their local community at the town's annual meeting.
The event will take place on Thursday, May 15, at Kirkgate Centre, from 7pm to 9pm.
The meeting will showcase the people, organisations, and activities that have been active in the town over the past year.
This year, the meeting will also host the first-ever Shipley Community Awards, celebrating individuals and organisations that help to make Shipley a great place to live, work, and visit.
Councillor and chair of Shipley Town Council, Mike Connors, said: "The annual town meeting is a fantastic opportunity for local residents and businesses to come together and celebrate the place they call home."
Shipley Town Council will share updates from each of the four committee chairs, covering community engagement, planning and regeneration, allotments and green spaces, and climate emergency and environment.
Community groups and organisations that received funds from the Town Council's Grants Scheme will share the progress and outcomes of their funded projects.
Refreshments and nibbles will be provided.
