Teenage motorcyclist dies in collision near Great Shefford
A teenage motorcyclist has died in a collision with a car whose driver has been arrested over drink and victim was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which happened shortly before 19:00 BST on Friday at the junction of the A338 and the B4000 Ermin Street, near Great Shefford, said a 19-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on suspicion of a number of offences, including causing death by dangerous driving and driving under the influence of drugs and remains in custody.
Thames Valley Police said officers were called to the collision at 18:53, which involved a silver Ford EcoSport and a Suzuki force said the car had been heading east and the motorbike was travelling in the opposite car driver was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, driving while over the prescribed limit for alcohol, driving while over a specified drug limit, driving while unfit through drink or drugs and causing death by careless driving while unfit through drink or have appealed for witnesses or dashcam footage of the two vehicles.
