Muslim Council of Elders strongly condemns statements by Israeli PM on 'Greater Israel Vision'
The Muslim Council of Elders, under the chairmanship of His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, has strongly condemned the statements made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding the so-called 'Greater Israel Vision,' which reflect expansionist colonial ambitions. In a statement today, the Council categorically rejects such statements, which represent a clear violation of the United Nations Charter and international laws while also disregarding state sovereignty and territorial integrity which in turn undermines efforts to achieve peace, and threatens regional and global security and stability. The Muslim Council of Elders calls on the international community to fulfill its responsibilities and act urgently to counter such violations by halting Israel's aggression against the Palestinian people and rejecting the starvation policies and attempts at forced displacement, whilst also ending the Palestinian people's suffering that has persisted for over seven decades, and affirming their legitimate right to establishing an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital. Tunisia condemns Netanyahu's statements on "Greater Israel Vision"
Tunis - Saba: Tunisia has condemned the statements made by Israeli occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, a war criminal wanted by the International Criminal Court, regarding his dream of realizing the "Greater Israel Vision." These statements represent a continuation of his provocative policies toward Arab states and a violation of their sovereignty, including a blatant and flagrant violation of international law and the principles of international legitimacy. According to the Palestinian News Agency (Wafa), Tunisia said on Thursday that these statements "only reflect the racist, colonialist, settler mentality of a rogue entity involved in crimes of genocide, war crimes, and ethnic cleansing against the steadfast Palestinian people. Such statements also represent a new attempt to liquidate the Palestinian cause and destabilize the region, amid international inability to put an end to this rampant aggression and its behavior as an aggressive force above the law and accountability." In a statement obtained by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the Ministry affirmed that 'the Republic of Iraq condemns in the strongest terms the statements issued by the Zionist entity concerning what is referred to as the (Greater Israel Vision), which clearly reveal this entity's expansionist ambitions,' stressing that it 'seeks to destabilize security and stability in the region.' The Ministry added that 'these statements represent a blatant provocation to the sovereignty of states and a flagrant violation of international law and the Charter of the United Nations, which necessitates a clear and decisive Arab and international stance to confront such policies,' noting that 'these brazen remarks coincide with the continued adoption by the occupation authorities of aggressive policies and the perpetration of crimes against the Palestinian people.' It stressed that 'these practices, coupled with political rhetoric based on expansion and annexation,' require 'effective action to put an end to the occupation's transgressions and to halt the policy of impunity.'
