Kimberly Guilfoyle shocks with 'enhanced' appearance on magazine cover after Donald Trump Jr. split

Donald Trump Jr.'s ex-fiancée Kimberly Guilfoyle has stunned fans after posing for the cover of Metropolitan Palm Beach magazine. The glamorous shoot divided the 56-year-old's followers, with many praising her, while others accused her of using filters to transform her appearance. 'Where is your girlfriend tribe to tell you to stop with the beauty "enhancements" and extreme filters... looking back at your pre-Don Jr photos I miss that fresh faced natural beauty,' wrote one. 'I think there is more photo filtering going on with her Instagram account. Some of the face filtering is ridiculous,' added another. A third agreed, 'Kimberly is a stunning and intelligent woman. In the past, I watched The Five because of her insight on what was happening in the news. At this point she is looking like a caricature.' However, many others rallied behind the US Ambassador to Greece nominee and praised her striking beauty. 'Beauty and brains can really shake the confidence of others. Keep winning!' gushed one fan. 'Kimberly is the real deal. Lawyer, political consultant, Media personality, former prosecutor! Not to mention gorgeous!' wrote another. A third added, 'Madam Ambassador, NO ONE has graced that cover better! Your intelligence and strength shine through, your beauty too!' One admirer even claimed that the Kimberly was 'making magazine covers great again'. As exclusively reported, Trump Jr. and Guilfoyle had already called off their years-long engagement when the Trump heir romanced Palm Beach socialite Bettina Anderson. The two had barely been seen together publicly since news of his romance with Anderson first came to light in September. Don Jr. was caught locking lips with Anderson, 37, while enjoying a long brunch date at The Honor Bar, located inside Palm Beach's swanky Royal Poinciana Plaza shopping center in August. The romance exploded into the spotlight when published pictures of that date the following month. Guilfoyle and Don Jr were then pictured for a last time together on November 14, when she posted photos from a Trump victory celebration at Mar-a-Lago. But even then, there was not one photo in which she and Don Jr. posed side by side. Guilfoyle also made no mention of her fiancé in the caption, sticking instead to a political message: 'So blessed to be part of the greatest campaign and political comeback of all time. Now it's finally time to get this country back on track! THE BEST IS YET TO COME!' Yet the couple waited until after the inauguration to announce their split, a source familiar with the first family told In the aftermath, President Trump announced that Guilfoyle would serve as the ambassador to Greece. She has yet to receive Senate confirmation for the ambassadorship, which would send her across the Atlantic to Athens. But the president touted her love for Greece and his love for her as a person as he pulled her onstage in March to mark Greek Independence Day. 'She came here and she loves our country and she loves Greece and now she's going to be the future ambassador to the Hellenic Republic, Kimberly Guilfoyle,' Trump said to cheers. 'And I'm going to say Kimberly, come on up and say a few words. Kimberly, come - she's really a good person,' he continued. 'She represents the Greek culture very well,' Trump said of Guilfoyle, who is of Puerto Rican and Irish heritage. 'I will tell you, she's very proud of it.' When she took the stage, Guilfoyle said it is an 'honor and privilege of a lifetime to serve this country and to serve a country that I love so much, that is so near and dear to my heart... and to do it under the guidance, the leadership, of the most important, powerful president that this country has ever seen.' She went on to call Trump a 'man of integrity.' 'I know the measure of the man and his character and his strength, and I know his love for the people of Greece, the birthplace of democracy,' she continued. Guilfoyle concluded her remarks by saying that under Trump people would 'sleep well at night and wake up in the morning feeling hopeful and optimistic for a man that will fight for the economy of this country and of Greece, for religious liberty and freedom and for the enduring alliance of Greece and the United States.'

Photo shows two African American men in the 1920s, not Turkish politician

This X post from March 28, 2025, posted an image of two men, with the one embracing the other and implied in the caption in insulting and homophobic language that the photo depicted Kemal Ataturk and proved he was gay. The post was shared more than 100 times. The same claim, accompanied by the image in both color and black and white, was shared by other users on Facebook (here, here and here) and X (here and here). While some users claim the photo is fake or AI-generated, many others posted insulting and homophobic comments about the founder and first president of the Republic of Turkey, Kemal Ataturk, being gay. "The killer in garters," is one of many such comments. The image circulated in Greece just days after Greek Independence Day on March 25. During the military parade, cadets from the Hellenic Navy Petty Officers School chanted an anti-Turkish slogan, sparking mixed reactions in the ruling New Democracy party. "While some party members defended the cadets, others, including Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis, expressed concern over escalating tensions with Turkey," Kathimerini newspaper reported. In response, the armed forces' leadership launched a formal Administrative Inquiry under oath. The incident reportedly prompted Turkey to request an explanation from Greece at a diplomatic level, the official Anadolu news agency reported. Disinformation targeting the LGBTQ community frequently circulates online in Greece, intensifying after the legalisation of same-sex marriage and adoption in February 2024. AFP has previously debunked many such claims, for example here, here and here. Additionally, Turkey and Islam are frequently the targets of misleading or false claims, many of which have been debunked by AFP (here, here and here). However, the image was altered to include Ataturk's face. AFP traced the original image to a collection documenting African American male couples with photographs from the middle 19th century to the late 20th. A reverse image search revealed that the original photo appeared on the cover of Issue 7 of the gay poetry journal called "Assaracus". According to Amazon's description, "Issue 07 features a cover photograph donated from a collection called 'Hidden in the Open,' curated by Trent Kelley". AFP contacted the journal's editor, Bryan Borland, to inquire about the photo's origin. On April 1, 2025, Borland shared part of his last communication with Kelley dating back to 2012. He told AFP that Kelley's email was a response to his inquiry at the time about how the photograph should be credited in the journal. "Please attribute the photos to me, Trent Kelley, curator of Hidden in the Open: A Photographic Essay of Afro-American Male Couples," Keller wrote in his email. He also noted that the photographs, including the one in question, "date from the middle 19th century to the late 20th". The collection was about "gay men of African descent who generally participated in their larger ethnic community out in the open but with their same-sex affectionate relationships only known to those who knew them such as close friends and family". Another reverse image search led to Trent Kelley's Flickr account (archived here), where the original photo was posted in 2010 with the description: "Affectionate Afro-American Men, 1920s." We also found the image on the Bridgeman images website, credited to "Prismatic Pictures / Bridgeman Images". A spokesperson from Bridgeman Images, a company that specialises in licensing fine art, cultural, and historical images, told AFP on April 2, 2025, that "the photograph in question comes from one of our content partners, but we do not claim to have exclusive rights to it". The photo was also published in a 2012 article by Kelley published by Vice Media Group. The story about his collection was also featured in an online magazine about photography and visual culture. In this article, Kelley was described as an "amateur historian and playwright" who had built his archive from vintage group portraits of African Americans that he "purchased on Ebay, at flea markets and at estate sales" in a bid to combat racial discrimination and encourage African American men to embrace their emotions. The same information was published in a 2014 New York Times article featuring Kelley's collection. AFP tried to contact Kelley but did not receive a reply by the time of publication. Kimberly Guilfoyle, nominee for ambassador to Greece: About Trump Jr.'s ex-fiancee, her new job

Kimberly Guilfoyle, former fiancee of Donald Trump Jr., will be living the Greek life — when her new position announced by his father officially starts. When photos surfaced online of Donald Trump Jr. kissing socialite Bettina Anderson, it made global news. Then his dad, President Donald Trump, announced days later that Guilfoyle would be his new ambassador to Greece during his second administration. That made global news, too. However, it's been more than two months since Donald Trump's inauguration and months after Guilfoyle and Donald Trump Jr. called off their engagement. Is Guilfoyle, a former Fox News TV personality and member of Donald Trump's inner circle, headed to Greece? When does the ambassadorship start? It could be soon. Recently, Guilfoyle participated in a Greek Independence Day celebration at the White House with President Donald Trump. She shared footage of her March 24 speech to her social networks with one caption stating, 'Today, we celebrate and cherish our rich history and ensuring bond, the United States and Greece.' Here's what we know. Donald Trump Jr., the eldest child of Donald Trump and the late Ivana Trump, was born on New Year's Eve, Dec. 31, 1977. His siblings are Ivanka Trump and Eric Trump, half-sister Tiffany Trump born to Donald Trump and Marla Maples, and half-brother Barron Trump, born to Donald and Melania Trump. Donald Trump Jr. previously was married to former model Vanessa Trump from 2005 to 2018. They have five children: Kai Madison Trump, Donald Trump III, Tristan Trump, Spencer Trump and Chloe Trump. Currently, Vanessa Trump is dating golf legend and Donald Trump's longtime friend, Tiger Woods. Donald Trump Jr. and Kimberly Guilfoyle started dating in 2018 after his divorce was finalized from Vanessa Trump. The pair were engaged and bought a house together in 2021 and split sometime in 2024. In December 2024, Donald Trump Jr. was publicly spotted with model Bettina Anderson of Palm Beach, Florida. The pair attended Donald and Melania Trump's annual New Year's Eve party at Mar-a-Lago, Inauguration Day 2025 festivities in Washington, D.C., and Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans with the Trump family. She's been a familiar face in the Trump circle since 2018. Guilfoyle previously appeared on "The Five" and "Outnumbered" on Fox News. Before her relationship with Donald Trump Jr., Guilfoyle was previously married to California Gov. Gavin Newsom, a Democrat, for four years while he was the mayor of San Francisco. They divorced in 2006, and she married furniture heir Eric Villency the same year. They had a son, Ronan Villency, but divorced in 2009. In December 2024, photos of Donald Trump Jr. and Palm Beach, Florida, socialite Bettina Anderson were published online. Days later, Donald Trump appointed Guilfoyle as ambassador to Greece. According to an April 2, 2025, record search, Donald Trump Jr. and Kimberly Guilfoyle's home in Jupiter is off the market and both names appear on property records. On Dec. 10, 2024, then-President-elect Donald Trump nominated Kimberly Guilfoyle, his son Donald Trump Jr.'s former fiancee, to be US ambassador to Greece. A Senate confirmation is required, but as of April 2, 2025, one has not been scheduled. Guilfoyle's Instagram description mentions her new post: "Public figure. Appointed by President Donald J. Trump as the U.S. Ambassador to Greece." Ambassadors typically are based at the U.S. embassy of the host country, or in this case, 91 Vasilisis Sophias Ave., 10160 Athens, Greece. Though she and Donald Trump Jr. are no longer dating, Guilfoyle continues to be a strong champion for his father and uses her various platforms − her X presence, Instagram and Rumble podcast − to spread Trump administration news. Recently, Guilfoyle: received an award at a fundraiser at Mar-a-Lago, Donald Trump's private club (see below) attended Inauguration Day 2025 events in Washington, D.C. (along with Donald Trump Jr., his ex-wife Vanessa Trump and their children, and his girlfriend Bettina Anderson) attended Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans, Louisiana, as did the Trump family (including Donald Trump Jr., three of his children and Anderson) attended Palm Beach, Florida, society functions and galas George Tsunis served as US ambassador to Greece from 2022 to 2025. He was nominated by former President Joe Biden on Oct. 8, 2021, then confirmed by the U.S. Senate on March 10, 2022. He began serving as ambassador to Greece on May 10, 2022, until Jan. 20, 2025, the date of President Donald Trump's inauguration. During his term, Tsunis had frequently posted messages under the @USambassadorGR handle on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter. On Jan. 17, 2025, he delivered a farewell tweet: "Serving as U.S. Ambassador to Greece has been the honor of a lifetime. As a Greek-American, returning to serve in the land where my parents were born has made this journey even more meaningful. The philoxenia, wisdom, and enduring spirit that shaped my childhood were magnificently strengthened during my time here. Every corner of Greece − from its storied past to its bright future − has offered lessons in leadership and friendship I will carry forever. Our Chargé d'Affaires Maria Olson will assume leadership on January 20 and continue advancing our shared goals. Please continue following @USEmbassyAthens for updates on our vital bilateral relationship." As of April 2, 2025, there has been no mentions of Kimberly Guilfoyle's appointment on the official X handles for the Greece ambassador and the U.S. Embassy in Athens account, except for the Greek Independence Day celebration on March 24, 2025, at the White House. On Instagram, the U.S. Embassy in Athens account has posted a Reel about Inauguration Day and a photo of Super Bowl LIX, which Donald Trump, Donald Trump Jr., Kimberly Guilfoyle and Bettina Anderson attended. Trump also previously said he thinks the tariffs could help ignite growth domestically in the auto world and make more countries move production to the U.S., according to Bloomberg, which first reported Trump's Wednesday announcement. Local Greek community raises flag outside of City Hall

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – Members of the local Greek American community marked Greek Independence Day today with a flag raising outside of Binghamton City Hall. More than a dozen people from Binghamton's Panhellenic Council joined Mayor Kraham who issued a proclamation recognizing the day. Tuesday marks the 204th anniversary of what Greeks consider to be the start of their revolution for independence from Turkey. It finally achieved independence in 1830. Peter Stefos is Vice President of a Greek fraternal organization called AHEPA. Stefos says the country's Greek Orthodox faith is closely intertwined with its fight for freedom. 'To the Greeks, justice meant fighting against oppression under Ottoman rule. It meant fighting for the future of their people and their country. And most importantly, their faith. For with both inspiration and struggle, faith, freedom and justice, the Greeks showed to be victorious,' said Stefos. Many of those in attendance are also organizers and volunteers for the annual Grecian Festival held each year at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation in Vestal. This year's festival will take place from May 29 through June 1.
