Paddleboarder and kayaker rescue three from sea off Jersey
A kayaker and a paddleboarder have assisted in rescuing three people from the sea off three were struggling in the water about 100m (330ft) off Green Island Beach on Tuesday were helped onto nearby rocks by the kayaker and paddleboarder before being taken to shore by Jersey Fire and Rescue Service's Inshore Rescue fire service said no injuries were reported and the "quick-thinking" help from members of the public was a "great example of community spirit".
Following the incident, the service reminded people to follow coastal safety advice. "The sea around Jersey can be unpredictable, with fast-changing tides and currents," it said. The service thanked the members of the public who helped as well as Jersey Coastguard and the RNLI Jersey St Helier Lifeboat, which also attended the incident.
