KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Cheeseburgers in paradise are now on the menu in Kansas City as the new Margaritaville Hotel is officially open, and they're kicking things off with a ribbon-cutting celebration that's sure to feel like a vacation. The hotel features an indoor pool, an outdoor resort-style pool, retail and family entertainment centers, along with a bar and grill that's open to the general public. The hotel is located near the Legends Outlets, where the old . The concept was developed by Sunflower Development Group in collaboration with Homefield KC and Margaritaville. 'This isn't just a hotel – it's a destination,' Greg Maday, the co-owner of Homefield KC said. 'We wanted to create something that brings a true resort-style experience to Kansas City, and Margaritaville's energy, design, and approach to fun are a perfect fit for this area.' Here are the dining options offered at the hotel: LandShark Bar & Grill: The two-story restaurant, inspired by coastal beach bars, offers American classics like fish tacos, burgers, salads, and tropical cocktails. It also features live music programming throughout the week. 5 o'Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill: Located on the pool deck, this bar serves up frozen concoctions, beer, and shareable plates in a laid-back, open-air setting. Joe Merchant's Coffee & Provisions: A grab-and-go market featuring coffee, sandwiches, gelato, and essentials. LandShark Lobby Bar: A casual bar just off the lobby, a spot for a margarita or evening wind-down. Restaurants will be open to hotel guests as well as individuals with a pool pass or cabana rental. See the latest headlines in Kansas City and across Kansas, Missouri Non-hotel visitors can purchase day passes, which cost $60 for adults and $20 for kids ages 4 to 12, and grant access to both the indoor and outdoor pools. You can also rent private cabanas, which offer up to six people a luxurious poolside experience. A fan, a private cooler, comfortable seating, a welcome gift, and premium service are all included in each cabana. In addition, Cabana guests get free access to the Fin City Family Entertainment Center, the NinjaCross obstacle course, and the indoor pool, along with a pitcher of margaritas or mocktails. Pool passes and cabana rentals can be purchased in person at the ticket hut. Passes will be available to purchase online soon.
