Ribbon cutting to take place for Margaritaville Hotel Kansas City
The hotel features an indoor pool, an outdoor resort-style pool, retail and family entertainment centers, along with a bar and grill that's open to the general public.

The hotel has 228 guest rooms, including 11 suites and over 14,000 square feet of event space suited for weddings, meetings and special occasions.
The hotel is located near the Legends Outlets, where the old .
The concept was developed by Sunflower Development Group in collaboration with Homefield KC and Margaritaville.
'This isn't just a hotel – it's a destination,' Greg Maday, the co-owner of Homefield KC said.
'We wanted to create something that brings a true resort-style experience to Kansas City, and Margaritaville's energy, design, and approach to fun are a perfect fit for this area.'

Margaritaville offers a variety of food and beverage outlets designed for every type of guest. Here are the dining options offered at the hotel:
LandShark Bar & Grill: The two-story restaurant, inspired by coastal beach bars, offers American classics like fish tacos, burgers, salads, and tropical cocktails. It also features live music programming throughout the week.
5 o'Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill: Located on the pool deck, this bar serves up frozen concoctions, beer, and shareable plates in a laid-back, open-air setting.
Joe Merchant's Coffee & Provisions: A grab-and-go market featuring coffee, sandwiches, gelato, and essentials.
LandShark Lobby Bar: A casual bar just off the lobby, a spot for a margarita or evening wind-down.
Restaurants will be open to hotel guests as well as individuals with a pool pass or cabana rental.

Non-hotel visitors can purchase day passes, which cost $60 for adults and $20 for kids ages 4 to 12, and grant access to both the indoor and outdoor pools.
You can also rent private cabanas, which offer up to six people a luxurious poolside experience.
A fan, a private cooler, comfortable seating, a welcome gift, and premium service are all included in each cabana. In addition, Cabana guests get free access to the Fin City Family Entertainment Center, the NinjaCross obstacle course, and the indoor pool, along with a pitcher of margaritas or mocktails.
Pool passes and cabana rentals can be purchased in person at the ticket hut. Passes will be available to purchase online soon.
The hotel is just the start of a new family-friendly themed entertainment destination. is set to open in Bonner Springs next year.

Ariana DeBose's mother Gina Michelle DeBose died Sunday morning "due to complications with stage 3 ovarian cancer," the actress and singer said this week. The "West Side Story" and "Love Hurts" star took to Instagram on Tuesday, posting a carousel of photos and a touching tribute to her "gorgeous, hilarious, outspoken, warrior queen Mother." "I couldn't be more proud of her and how she fought this insidious disease over the past 3 years. She was 57 years young," DeBose wrote in the caption. "She was my favorite person, my biggest fan and toughest critic. My best friend. She was my date to every important moment in my professional and personal life - and I wouldn't have it any other way," the post continued. DeBose said her mom "fought like hell to give me a good life, a good education and every opportunity in the world. I wouldn't be where I am without her." While most women who are diagnosed with ovarian cancer are not at high risk, according to the CDC, there are many factors that could potentially increase a woman's risk for ovarian cancer, including a family history of the disease; a genetic mutation such as BRCA1 or BRCA2, "or one associated with Lynch syndrome"; a history of breast, uterine or colon cancer; or a diagnosis of endometriosis, described by the CDC as a condition where tissue from the lining of the uterus grows elsewhere in the body. Jimmy Carter to be honored with Forever stamp
Former President Carter will be honored by the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) with a Forever stamp set to go on sale Oct. 1, which would have been his 101st birthday. 'The stamp program celebrates the best in American culture, places and people, and it is difficult to consider a more fitting honoree than former President Jimmy Carter,' Peter Pastre, the Postal Service's government relations and public policy vice president, said in a statement. 'In his support and leadership of his beloved community, state and nation, he lent his quiet, thoughtful and deliberate energy around causes he believed in, and most certainly in his conduct and accomplishments as a former president, Jimmy Carter truly personified the best in America,' the Postal Service official added. The stamp was designed by art director Ethel Kessler and will feature a 1982 oil-on-linen painting created as a life study by artist Herbert E. Abram, the USPS said. Carter was the country's longest-living former president before he died in December at age 100. World dignitaries gathered at his funeral to honor his contributions to the country and global diplomacy through the Camp David Accords and SALT II treaty. 'Jimmy Carter's friendship taught me, and through his life taught me, that strength of character is more than title or the power we hold.
