Beloved BBC daytime show unexpectedly pulled from schedule leaving fans gutted

The programme has been on air for five years but has now been dropped from TV schedule unexpectedly and replaced in major shake-up. A much loved BBC daytime show has been pulled from the broadcast schedule suddenly, leaving fans devastated. Morning Live which was launched in 2020 as a rival show to the ITV Daytime schedule, but it has now been confirmed to be axed from the air. Host Grethin Jones revealed at the end of Friday's episode that the show would be taking a break for the summer holidays for a total of six weeks. Grethin, who hosts the show alongside Michelle Ackerely and Helen Skelton, told viewers: "Morning Live will be taking a break for a few weeks." Confirming that the show will be back on screens for the start of the school term, he added: "We will be back on Monday 1 September and 9:30am." "Thanks for watching and thanks for getting involved. We'll see you very soon. Have a lovely summer," he concluded. The former Blue Peter star then took to social media to thank his loyal supporters for tuning into the show every single weekday and sharing the love with him and his co-stars, the Mirror reports. He wrote on X, formally known as Twitter: "We'll be back soon! I've said it a lot, but it's quite incredible how many of you not only watch @bbcmorninglive, but also get involved with the show. Sharing your stories to help others." However some fans were shocked and outraged by the news of the programme being suddenly dropped. As one fan replied to Gethin saying: "Aww!! You're not allowed to be away for 6 weeks! definitely one of my favourite programmes." "Hope you all have an amazing summer. Enjoy your hols wherever you go. A well earned break. Look forward to seeing you all back in September," they continued. While another added: "Will miss you all - have a great break and see you in September! Thank you for such a brilliant programme!", a third follower wished them a "well earned break" after so long on air. One fan simply wrote that they were "Gonna miss u guys" and another admitted that they would be lost without their "morning fix" from the show. Gethin has been hosting the show since it started in 2020, with multiple different famous faces stepping in to present when he has been off over the years - such as radio presenter Gaby Roslin and Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh. Similarly, former Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh has been hosting the programme since before her stint of Strictly Come Dancing in 2022, and continues to lead the presenting on an occasional basis. The show, which normally airs from 9:30am to 10:45am on weekdays during the school term, was originally broadcasted from London before making the move to Manchester in 2022. The launch episode had nearly 1.5million viewing figures, and it offers viewers a range of advice on several different topics, as well as featuring celebrity guests.
