Luxury brand Coach opens new NYC-inspired bar in Singapore serving customisable martinis from $12

Luxury brands continue to make their mark on Singapore's F&B scene – we've seen the likes of the Audemars Piguet Café, Louis Vuitton's chocolate store, and Audi's collab with Burnt Ends Bakery. Now, American fashion house Coach joins the mix with the opening of The Coach Bar, its newest lifestyle concept nestled inside the Coach Play Singapore Shophouse along Keong Saik Road. Replacing the former Coach Café, this stylish space draws inspiration from the brand's New York roots. The interiors are bold yet inviting, featuring rich red wallpaper and warm lighting that create a cosy, date-night-worthy ambience. One of the standout design features include a wall lined with vintage cassette tapes spanning genres from soul and funk to hip-hop and jazz. But even if you're not there for the vibes, the food and drinks are reason enough to visit. The menu takes classic American bar fare and gives it a refined twist – think shrimp cocktail ($22), caviar by the bump ($12) served on potato chips, and pastrami poppers ($16). Heftier options include the grilled cheese sandwich ($23) and the wagyu-loaded silver service hot dog ($30). For dessert, the bar's signature sundae ($15) balances rich soft-serve with Sicilian olive oil and sea salt. As for drinks, the Proper Martini Service ($12) offers a fun experience where you can customise your cocktail table-side with garnish choices like pickled onions and blue cheese-stuffed olives. You'll also find signature cocktails like the Grey Goose espresso martini ($25) and tabby disco tea ($22), the latter served with a Coach-branded citrus ice cube for a luxe finishing touch. The Coach Bar is located at 5 Keong Saik Road and is open from Thursday to Monday, 4pm to 12am.

Rebekah Vardy shares huge bar tab from husband Jamie's wild send-off

Rebekah Vardy had a laugh about her husband and his fellow Leicester City teammates being "absolute animals" at his raucous send-off on Sunday. To celebrate the former England star's departure, the club threw a massive shindig after he hung up his boots at the King Power Stadium, having previously declared his decision to exit earlier this year. Over 200 goals in 500 games scored for Leicester City, Vardy was honoured with a surprise bash as a token of appreciation for his stellar run. Rebekah, who has recently been slapped with nearly £1.2 million in costs from the Wagatha Christie trial, jokingly branded the partygoers "absolute animals" while posting the event's hefty bar tab, complete with three laughing emojis. The extensive list of libations included 38 Tequillas, 66 Baby Guinnesses, 41 Jagermeisters, 52 Grey Goose vodka shots, many glasses of Sancerre wine, and a cluster of 'S*** house Specials', a punchy concoction of vodka and Red Bull. Alongside an image of the custom cocktail menu, Rebekah also unveiled some Vardy-inspired cocktails, with the spicy margarita-like Electric Vardy causing quite a stir. Several snaps shared by Rebekah from Jamie's extravagant party show her in a stunning red ensemble embracing her spouse, with friends hooting in the background, all set against a backdrop of blue and gold balloons, and oversized images honouring the football legend, reports the Mirror. Jamie is poised to bid farewell to relegated Leicester City this summer, following rumours of an unexpected move to Crystal Palace. Despite being 38, he's not ready to hang up his boots just yet. The Premier League and FA Cup champion has expressed a keen interest in continuing his football career, with Crystal Palace surfacing as a potential new club for him. Rebekah was spotted drinking beer with the Leicester City fans last week after finally agreeing to pay Coleen £1.19 million of her legal costs after the bitter battle at the High Court. The mum-of-five is yet to comment on having to shelling out the cash to her arch nemesis, 39. However, she looked like her legal woes were the furthest thing from her mind when she rocked up to see Nottingham Forest take on Leicester City in a game, which ended 2-2. Spotted in the away end, donning a Leicester shirt and designer sunglasses atop her head, pint in hand, Rebekah appeared cheerful and at ease as she posed for a selfie with a fan. She was also captured amongst the crowd watching the match as Jamie attempted to net his 200th goal for the Foxes in a game that had both sets of fans on tenterhooks. After the match, Rebekah posed with her husband and their children, who were proudly wearing Leicester City shirts in support of the footballer, who has confirmed that he will be leaving the club at the end of the season.

Spring brings new seasonal cocktails to Time Out Market Boston

Spring has sprung, and that means a new batch of cocktails are in bloom at Time Out Market Boston. One of the best kept secrets in the Fenway neighborhood, the Time Out Market bar boasts a top-shelf selection of local craft beer, cocktails and mocktails that are sure to please every palate. Now, they're serving up even more exciting things to sip on. 'Time Out Market is a special place for a lot of reasons, and the beverage program is no different,' said Meghan Murphy, Assistant General Manager and mastermind behind the seasonal cocktail program. 'I think the beauty in creating a drink menu at a place like Time Out is leaning into the fact that we're surrounded by the best food in the city. I had a lot of fun drawing inspiration from the different types of cuisine and combining flavors that you may not always think of as obvious, but are oh so delicious.' The process of creating a seasonal menu begins with a list of seasonal flavors and produce that Murphy wants to highlight or feature. 'I started designing this menu in the winter,' said Murphy. 'I tried to picture the patio, Red Sox games, and longer, sunnier days, and the flavors those things made me think of.' Murphy said that this menu has something for everyone. It features flavors ranging from sweet, tart, floral and fruity, to effervescent, boozy, spicy and earthy. Prefer something a bit hoppier? The new spring menu features a list of local New England brews. 'The beer list is another spot where we always make sure that we have something for everyone,' Murphy stated. 'We rotate our beer list seasonally, and this time we have two Time Out-specific beers on tap, including a 'Sluice Juice'-style brew from Bent Water Brewing in Lynn, Massachusetts that they are brewing just for us!' Murphy said she is proud to be able to spotlight smaller, local breweries at Time Out Market you can't always find everywhere else. Discover the new spring cocktails below. Bacardi Is Putting Money Behind People To Make Sure AI Doesn't Replace Your Bartender

Originally published on By Robert Klara While AI hasn't booted human bartenders out of their jobs en masse, for the past several years, Bacardi —whose portfolio includes Grey Goose vodka and tequila brand Patrón—has been investing its money to help ensure that it doesn't. Bacardi is expanding a global training initiative called Shake Your Future. The program (free of charge for those selected), bestows its graduates with an international bartender certification and has pledged to mint 10,000 mixologists by 2030. In February, it added Glasgow to a long list of European cities where it already operates. 'The techniques of being a great bartender [include] the broader skills around hospitality itself,' said Alex Tomlin, SVP and head of marketing for Bacardi North America, 'which is essentially about customer interaction.' Just as artificial intelligence has crept into professions like finance, retail, and content creation, it's been heading for the corner pub, too. In 2019, for example, U.K. startup DataSparq debuted its AI Bar, which uses facial-recognition technology to serve patrons in the order they walked in the door. Last year, Diageo introduced a digital platform called What's Your Cocktail?, which uses the company's FlavorPrint AI technology to generate personalized libations. In the back room, meanwhile, AI management app Backbar can crunch customer data to predict demand, control inventory, and order booze. Like many in the business, Tomlin has watched the growth of AI. He appreciates its power to help cut waste, boost margins, and even concoct some novel drink recipes. 'But none of that changes the importance of why people go to bars,' he told ADWEEK, 'which is all about human interaction.' In 2022, the liquor giant created Future Proof, a specialized curriculum for students at Florida International University's Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism. The training goes beyond how to pour drinks and into mixology's finer points including cocktail history and spirits distillation. Myrtle Beach man jailed after allegedly beating woman so severely she could suffer vision loss, report says

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A 34-year-old man was arrested on Thursday after allegedly beating a woman so severely that she could suffer vision loss, an Horry County police report said. Georgi Angelov of Myrtle Beach was charged with assault of a high and aggravated nature and kidnapping in connection with the April 11 incident at a Myrtle Beach-area home, the report said. According to the report, Angelov and the woman got into an argument about him allegedly being a drug dealer, and he slammed her face into a wall and punched her multiple times. By the time officers arrived, medics had already taken the woman to the hospital as a Level 1 trauma patient. Medics told an officer that the woman's eyes were swollen and that she could not open them, the report said. They believed she had been unconscious for an unknown period of time. The report said officers talked to the woman and a doctor at the hospital, who said that both of her orbital bones were broken and would require surgery. The doctor said the surgery could cause the woman to suffer vision loss, and that she also suffered a broken nose. The woman told officers that Angelov would hit her anytime she tried to leave and that he took her phone so that she could not able to reach out for help, warrants show. She also said that he hit her in the back of the head with a Grey Goose bottle while she was curled into the fetal position and that her fake nails had been ripped off. Angelov is being held without bond at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center. No further information on the condition of the victim was available. * * * Jordan White is a Digital Producer at News13.
