What is the Combat Chest in Marvel Rivals and how to get it?
Image via NetEase Games. There's been a flurry of new content in Marvel Rivals right now. First, It was the Chrono Shield Cards. Now, NetEase Games has unveiled yet another brand new aspect in the game, which is the Combat Chest. This new in-game component is going to be similar to the Battle Pass. With Season 2.5 planned to be released on May 30, 2025, a lot of things are lined-up to be revealed via this mid-season refresh update. The main highlight of this update has to be the arrival of Ultron in the game as a playable character. This upcoming character is also getting a new outfit as well, along with Groot. Besides, a lot of characters are getting their respective buffs and nerfs. Combat Chest in Marvel - What is it and how to get it? The Combat Chest is a new reward system in Marvel Rivals which works almost exactly like the Battle Pass in the game. However, there is a significant difference. Unlike the standard Battle Pass which progresses by spending Chrono Tokens, the Combat Chest progresses by playing matches. Another interesting quality of this new rewards system is that it doesn't expire at all and players can continue digging rewards from it without any time restraints. Now the question is, how to get it? If you don't want to spend your money on the game besides the Battle Pass, then you can sit relaxed as the Combat Chest will still reward you, without spending a single penny. However, that's the free version of the Combat Chest, and the rewards will also be low-tiered, like the Emma Frost Make It Rain Emote. But if you purchase the Premium version of the Combat Chest by spending 690 Lattice, which costs around $7, then you can treat yourself with some Advanced rewards like the Storm Kingdom Savior MVP. Players need to keep in mind that the Combat Chest will be available until July 11, 2025. But if players activate the Combat Chest before that, then it will stay forever in their accounts and there will be no time limit to claim rewards through it. Players can progress through the Combat Chest even after it gets unavailable, but it needs to be purchased and activated before that. The Combat Chest in Marvel Rivals is going to be released on May 30, 2025 at 9 AM UTC on all platforms, along with the release of the Season 2.5 . How to get the new X-Tron and Yggroot skins in Marvel Rivals Season 2.5

NetEase Games has recently announced brand new skins for these two popular characters of the game in its Season 2.5. The mid-season refresh will bring Ultron in the game as a playable character. Along with it, the Season 2.5 patch will introduce new team-up abilities and pose nerfs and buffs to several characters. However, the announcement of the new skins of those two heroes is surely going to be a treat for the fans. Marvel Rivals announces new X-Tron and Yggroot skins for Ultron and Groot in Marvel Rivals Just like everyone anticipated, NetEase Games has recently announced that that two new skins for Ultron and Groot are coming into the game respectively. These two skins will be available from May 30 at 7 PM PT. The upcoming skin of Ultron is named X-Tron, which give him a more fearsome look. This skin is more metallic than his usual appearance with a red cape, along with an Arc-reactor kind of object on his chest, with reddish-black arms and a red face,, which kind of reminds us of Ironman. This skin is also reminiscent of his multiverse-destoryer look from What If? Season 1 Episode 8. On the other hand, Groot gets a more grim and serious look in his upcoming Yggroot skin, which is kind of unusual as compared to his previous avatars. Groot's new skin will wield a silver-grayish texture along with crystal blue patches all over his body. Except for the looks of the new skins, NetEase Games hasn't revealed further details, like pricing and all. However, both the skins are expected to arrive as respective bundles, each shaving individual Emote, Nameplate, and Spray. In order to acquire these skins, players need to head to the Store tab when on or after May 30. In this tab, players will need to tap on the Featured section, where these two new skins will be showcased for purchasing. $10B data center deal comes as area emerges as tech hub
MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A major data center linked to Google is said to be part of a $10 billion-dollar investment that could create hundreds of new jobs, according to West Memphis, Arkansas city officials. For almost a year, West Memphis Mayor Marco McClendon has hinted on News Channel Three at 3 that he would be unveiling the biggest investment in the history of West Memphis, Arkansas, very soon. 'We've been on a winning streak for so long, and so many great things are coming in the next couple of weeks. You're going to hear about the biggest investment in the City of West Memphis,' said Mayor McClendon. The biggest investment is believed to be a Fortune 100 company that's planning a $10 billion data center. It would be located on 920 acres of land on Bollinger Road near the Coca-Cola distribution warehouse. The data center is expected to create 300 new jobs. A city spokesperson, citing non-disclosure agreements, would only tell Your News Leader that they're working with a company called Groot LLC. But complete details haven't been released. The possible deal comes as the Memphis area emerges as a tech hub. 'What we love about that Memphis is suddenly now on that stage for technology companies, data centers that are considering major investments here,' said Ted Townsend, Greater Memphis Chamber CEO and President. The Memphis area now has 11 data centers, including the Elon Musk Xai supercomputer, and a new data center is being planned on Getwell Road, the old Fred's headquarters. 'That's exciting to us, where we adapt and reuse these facilities. And what once was an Electrolux facility is now the world's largest supercomputer, and once was Fred's headquarters is now going to be a data center,' said Townsend. 'So, that's what I'm looking for, what turbines are actually being used, and what is the environmental impact? What's the air quality impact? What's the water impact?'
