Uisce Éireann begins major wastewater infrastructure project in Meath
Today at 07:45
Construction of a new wastewater infrastructure project in Clonmagadden, Meath is set to begin next week, as Uisce Éireann moves forward with essential upgrades to support housing and economic growth in the Navan area.
The project involves the installation of 300 metres of gravity sewer mains, a key element of Uisce Éireann's national Growth and Development Programme.
The new wastewater infrastructure will significantly enhance the capacity and reliability of the existing sewer network, paving the way for future residential development and improved environmental protection.
Works will be carried out at Clonmagadden Park and along Clonmagadden Road, stretching from Clonmagadden Park to Nangle Court. To safely facilitate construction, traffic management measures will be in place, including temporary traffic lights and traffic marshals.
Padraic Fitzgerald of Uisce Éireann said: 'This project will facilitate social and economic growth, including planned residential development. It will increase the capacity of the existing wastewater network to deliver reliable, sustainable, high-quality wastewater services for the community.'
The works are scheduled for completion in Autumn 2025.
