(Image: Facebook) Two teenage boys have been charged with the murder of 57-year-old Zdravko Bilic, who was found stabbed to death outside his home in Warana on the evening of Monday, July 14. Sunshine Coast detectives have apprehended a 15-year-old boy from West Woombye and a 17-year-old boy from Beerwah, both charged with murder. They are expected to appear in Maroochydore Children's Court on Thursday, July Monday's stabbing incident, police and emergency services were called to the Napalle Street property around 7:35 p.m. AEST after a neighbour discovered Bilic unresponsive in the front yard. He was declared dead at the scene. Investigators confirmed he had sustained two stab wounds to the wife, Gry Susann Tomte, was interstate on a business trip at the time. Police said she became concerned after not hearing from her husband and asked a neighbour to check on him. That neighbour later made the emergency call. Tomte, originally from Norway, is the founder of the Melbourne-based skincare company HÜD Skin + Body, which has clinics in St Kilda and Northcote. She described her husband as 'the kindest, gentlest person I've ever known' and said he was 'loved by everyone who had the fortune of meeting him.'Detective Inspector Chris Toohey said police are examining multiple lines of inquiry. Investigators are focusing on the window between 11 p.m. Sunday and 7:30 p.m. Monday to determine when the fatal attack are also looking into whether Bilic's body may have been lying in the yard for several hours before it was and Tomte purchased the $2.5 million property in December 2021. Police now allege there was a disturbance at the Napalle St home, leading to Mr Bilic being stabbed. A 15-year-old West Woombye boy and a 17-year-old Beerwah boy have since been charged with murder. They are set to appear in Maroochydore Childrens Court on Thursday. Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Detectve Inspector Chris Toohey said Mr Bilic was home alone at the time. He said Mr Bilic's wife, skincare entrepreneur Gry Susann Tomte, was away on a business trip and raised the alarm when she had not heard from her husband for some time. '(Ms Tomte) was concerned because she hadn't heard from him and as a result spoke to the neighbour who made the emergency call,' he said. He said police were investigating multiple lines of inquiry, including whether Mr Bilic's body had been lying in front of the house for several hours before he was found by the neighbour. Police were focusing on the window between 11pm on Sunday and 7pm to 7.30pm on Monday. Mr Bilic and Ms Tomte purchased the Sunshine Coast mansion for $2.5m in December 2021 before settling into the home in March the following year. Inspector Toohey said Mr Bilic was a 'valued member of the community' and that his 'terrible' death shocked their neighbours. 'He is a community-minded person that was well-loved in the area,' he told reporters. MsTomte, who is originally from Norway and co-founder of Melbourne-based skincare company HUD Skin and Body, which has clinics in St Kilda and Northcote. She told 9News her husband was the 'kindest, gentlest person I've ever known'. 'Loved by everyone who ever had the fortune of meeting him,' she said. 'So (Mr Bilic's death) is a shock. 'It makes us more vigilant to maintain that level of safety and make sure that we hold the (alleged) offenders to account.'

The body of a man who was found stabbed to death in front of his Sunshine Coast home may have been lying there for several hours before it was discovered. Zdravko Bilic, 57, was found unresponsive by a neighbour in the front yard of a home in Napalle St in Warana about 7.35pm on Monday. Police said he sustained two stab wounds to his abdomen. Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Detective Inspector Chris Toohey said it was possible Mr Bilic's body was lying there for several hours before he was found by a neighbour. 'At this stage, we're looking at between 11pm on the Sunday night the 13th and the 7pm to 7.30pm was when he was located,' he said. Inspector Toohey said police were investigating several lines of inquiry, including the possibility Mr Bilic 'disturbed' an attempted break and enter. Police understand Mr Bilic was alone at the time of the incident. He said Mr Bilic's wife, Gry Susann Tomte, who was not at home at the time, was concerned she hadn't heard from him and 'inquired with the neighbour who discovered (the body)'. '(Ms Tomte) was concerned because she hadn't heard from him and as a result spoke to the neighbour who made the emergency call,' he said. Inspector Toohey described Mr Bilic as a 'valued member of the community' and his death as 'terrible' that 'shocked the neighbours'.
