Long-awaited KCI guest pass program available for Fourth of July travel
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A long-awaited program is coming to the Kansas City International Airport (KCI).
KCI said that on Thursday, July 3, people who aren't traveling will be able to enter the post-security side of the airport terminal to visit family and friends who are traveling using the Guest Pass Program.

According to the airport's website, the guest pass will be free. However, if you wish to use one, you'll still need to pay for parking after applying for and receiving the pass. While using a guest pass, you'll still need to go through the same security and TSA regulations and safety protocols as if you were traveling.

The program comes just in time for the busy July 4 holiday, and will allow travelers to 'spend more quality time together during departures and enjoy the exceptional amenities available at KCI,' according to the airport's release.
In addition to accompanying friends and family to their terminal, KCI says a guest pass can also be used for dining, shopping, exploring the various artworks at KCI or watching the planes move through the runways.
