Big crowds for 'Sand in My Boots' festival continue this weekend
GULF SHORES, Ala. (WKRG) — No matter the name, a May concert weekend always draws a crowd in Gulf Shores. Gulf Shores Police posted these images of giant crowds at the public beach on day two of the 'Sand in My Boots' festival. Normally, this party slot would be filled by the Hangout Festival, but not this year.
Thousands of people are expected to pack the beach again Sunday for the final day of the event. Sunday's headliners include Wiz Khalifa and the man behind it all, Morgan Wallen.
The police department added a half joke in their post writing to concert goers, 'Your mother called us to remind you to apply sunscreen and stay hydrated. Failure to do so will undoubtedly be discussed at this year's Thanksgiving dinner.'
