Four games, four wins as Bahrain rolls through qualifiers undefeated

It was the final night of the Gulf U16 Championship, and Bahrain made sure the hosts closed it in style. defeating the United Arab Emirates 83–50. The win completed a perfect 4–0 sweep and officially crowned them Gulf U16 Champions. They had already punched their ticket to the FIBA U16 Asia Championship, but the message was clear: they wanted to finish what they started. Bahrain imposed their rhythm early, leading 24–9 after the first quarter. UAE fought back in the second, putting up 19 points, but Bahrain responded with a 21–17 third and crushed the fourth 25–5. Total Control Mohamed Adel Abdulla led Bahrain's scoreboard with 14 points, capping off a tournament where he was a consistent scoring threat. Meanwhile, Hassan Oshobuge Abdulkadir led all rebounders with 13 boards, anchoring the paint on both ends. Bahrain shared the ball fluidly with 24 assists as a team and hit 9 threes at a 33% clip — their most efficient outside shooting night of the tournament. Asia Awaits Bahrain finished as undisputed Gulf U16 Champions with wins over Oman (96–44), Kuwait (93–52), Saudi Arabia (82– 62), and UAE (83–50) — an average margin of victory of over 30 points. Bahrain officially tops the GBA Gulf standings and will represent the region in Mongolia this September at the FIBA U16 Asia Championship. Earlier in the evening, Saudi Arabia defeated Oman 88–41. But for Bahrain, the goal was clear from day one — and now they'll take their full momentum into Asia's biggest youth stage.
