Metro In Dino box office prediction day 1: Metro In Dino, one of the most eagerly awaited films of the month, hit the screens on July 4 much to the delight of fans. It garnered attention with its trailer and songs. This, however, may not be enough to help the romantic drama pack a punch at the box office. According to Ramesh Bala, a trade analyst, the romantic drama is likely to take a slow start at the Indian box office. 'This is a multiplex-centric film. I think it will earn around Rs 3 crore on the first day,' he told Indiatimes. If this prediction holds, Metro In Dino will open lower than leading man Aditya Roy Kapur's previous film Gumraah (2023). The actioner, a remake of Arun Vijay's Thadam, had earned nearly Rs 8 crore (nett) on the first day. It will, however, be able to beat Rashtra Kavach: OM, which made Rs 1.51 crore on the first day. Metro In Dino may work only in select markets, fail to benefit from 'sequel hype' Metro In Dino is expected to fare well in markets like Delhi and Mumbai. It may also find patronage in Chennai and Bengaluru. However, given the urban theme, it is unlikely to make an impact in the mass pockets. According to Koimoi, the film had sold only 4k tickets across National multiplex chains at 8 am on July 3. This indicates that it has a limited reach. Metro in Dino is a sequel in essence, to Basu's 2007 film Life in a Metro. It, however, is unlikely to benefit from this as the first film was released over 15 years ago. The cast and crew of Anurag Basu 's upcoming film 'Metro In Dino', including Aditya Roy Kapur , Sara Ali Khan , Neena Gupta, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Konkona Sensharma, came together last night for a grand album launch event. While it was previously revealed that Aditya would be making his singing debut in the film, fans had yet to hear his vocals — until now. Taking the stage at the event, Aditya surprised the audience with a live performance of the track Ishq Hai Ya Tharak, drawing cheers and applause from the crowd. His soulful rendition instantly reminded many of his beloved role as singer Rahul Jaykar from Aashiqui 2 , sparking a wave of nostalgia among fans. In the video, Aditya rocks the stage with a lively performance. The clip that went viral on social media, showed a stark difference in Kapur's off-screen persona and his no-nonsense on-screen act in the web series 'The Night Manager' where he plays one of the leads Shaan Sengupta. The actor was also seen in the 2023 film 'Gumraah', which was a whodunnit crime dram, directed by Vardhan Ketkar and written by Sunny Mandavarra and Magizh Thirumeni. Just days after similar incidents involving Salman Khan and Saif Ali Khan, Kapur's Bandra residence witnessed a startling security lapse when a fan from Dubai trespassed into his apartment, triggering police action and public concern. IANS reported that, according to the Mumbai Police, the 47-year-old woman, identified as Gazala Zakaria Siddiqui from Liwan in Dubai, entered Kapur's home in Bandra West, on Monday evening. She allegedly misled the actor's house help and claimed she had been invited at 6 p.m. Her vague answers raised suspicion, and when Aditya returned home, he did not recognise her and quickly alerted his team. His managers contacted the Khar Police, leading to her detention and an FIR being filed. Police officials confirmed that the woman had no legitimate reason to be at Aditya Roy Kapur's residence. The incident has raised further alarm in Bollywood, especially as it comes on the heels of several recent high-profile security breaches. Just days earlier, another woman attempted to trespass into Salman Khan's highly guarded Galaxy Apartments.
