Regional Chamber asks for business participation in online survey

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber is asking for-profit businesses to participate in a short survey to determine their needs in the area. The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland's 2025 Business Outlook and Trends Survey (BOTS) is open through May 12, 2025. The survey gives business owners the opportunity to share data about regional goods and services, labor markets, prices and costs that directly inform the Fed, service providers, policymakers and community stakeholders on economic changes, according to the Regional Chamber. 'The survey is an important tool that ensures the voices of businesses in the Mahoning Valley are heard,' said Guy Coviello, president and CEO of the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber. 'By participating, business leaders contribute real-time, anecdotal data that can influence decisions at the highest levels—data that will also be shared locally to help inform economic development efforts.' Survey responses are confidential, and no personal information is required. Businesses can take the survey here. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. Regional chamber looks at what's ahead for Mahoning Valley

CANFIELD, Ohio (WKBN) – Five hundred businesses and government leaders started their Thursday at the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber's Annual Meeting. A breakfast was held Thursday morning at Waypoint 4180 in Canfield. The keynote speaker was Warren native Gary Wagner, one of the nation's chief economists and a professor at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. The annual meeting is a time for chamber members to look back at the previous year and reflect, while looking at the challenges facing the Mahoning Valley. 'If we don't have the support of these 500 business leaders and government leaders behind me, we can't accomplish some of the things that we do, such as growing in population, growing in talent, growing the housing stock, helping our less advantaged businesses — all those things that really strengthen our community,' said Guy Coviello, president and CEO of the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber. Also recognized at the meeting were Dan Rivers, the retired radio host who received the Spirit of the Valley award; Shelley Murray, CEO of the Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries who received the Spirit of the Chamber award; and Wally King, a WWII combat pilot and hero who flew 74 missions before being shot down on his 75th who received a Valley Champion award.
