Strictly Come Dancing fans are scratching their heads over the rumoured launch date "leak", with reports the new series details are doing the rounds online.
TV Zone has reported that this year's Strictly Come Dancing will kick off a week later than usual, with the show set to launch on September 20.
According to a tweet from the outlet: "FYI - this year's Strictly is a week later than recent series, with the show launching on September 20. Hence, no celebrity reveals just yet.." The publication also expressed its belief that the first live show is scheduled for Saturday, September 27.
In contrast, last year's series began on September 14 with live shows starting on September 21, while in 2023, Strictly commenced on September 16 and the live shows followed on September 23.

After the "leaked" news surfaced on X, Strictly fans took to social media to voice their thoughts.
One person commented, "Why so late? Does that mean the final will be closer to Christmas then? I just want the celebrity announcements."

Another shared their concern: "Yes, it's less than a week before Christmas, which has me worried that the pros are going to be in a hurry to go and see their families around the world... I hope they were made aware of this when they renewed their contracts," reports the Express.
A delighted fan noted: "Final will be on Saturday December 20 2025, just 5 days before Christmas." This year, the familiar judging panel, featuring Anton Du Beke, Motsi Mabuse, Craig Revel Horwood, and head judge Shirley Ballas, will be back.

There will also be some fresh faces on the dance floor this year, with Julian Cailon and Alexis Warr joining the show as professional dancers.
Julian is an Australian dancer who has previously appeared on Dancing with the Stars Down Under, while Alexis is an American dancer who triumphed in So You Think You Can Dance in 2022.
